We are honoured to have Shri Alphonse Kannanthanam IAS as the Chief Guest for this special event. Shri Alphonse Kannanthanam, an accomplished civil servant and visionary leader, has made remarkable contributions to the nation in various capacities.

About the Chief Guest: Shri Alphonse Kannanthanam IAS

Shri Alphonse Kannanthanam is a distinguished bureaucrat, politician, and social reformer. A former member of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), he is known for his exemplary service in public administration and innovative initiatives in urban planning and development.

During his illustrious career, Shri Alphonse served as the Union Minister of State for Culture and Tourism and later as the Union Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology in the Government of India. Recognized as one of the “100 most influential people in the world” by TIME Magazine in 1994 for his role in transforming Kottayam into India’s first 100% literate town, he continues to inspire through his dedication and commitment to public service.
