Geology Museum

We have one of the best Geology museums among the colleges affiliated to MG University in Kottayam district. This museum has a good collection of minerals, rocks, fossils, ore minerals and semi-precious stones.The Geology Museum has been renovated and set with proper classification, labelling, display and acquired a new ambiance with bright illumination and furnishing.Fr. Sebastian Attichira CMI, Manager, Kristu Jyoti Group of Institutions blessed the renovated museum on 07.09.2018 in a ceremony presided over by Rev. Fr. Joshy Cheeramkuzhy CMI, Principal, Kristu Jyoti College of Management and Technology.The main attractions of our Geology Museum are the big crystal of Quartz, Beryl, Zeolite and Stone Age tools. Our museum holds specimens of igneous, metamorphic and sedimentary rocks, rocks found in the desert region and specimens of different stages of coal formation. A wide collection of ore minerals including that of iron, copper, manganese, lead, chromium, aluminium, etc is an added fascination of our museum.

Many specimens showcased in our museum are collected by students of Geology Department from different states of India during their study tour conducted as a part of their curriculum
