INTRODUCTION

The English Department of Kristu Jyoti College came into existence in the year 2015.The department had an uneventful beginning with the very first batch consisting of 18 students. From then onwards, the department grew leaps and bounds to have a sizeable student strength. Since, its inception, the department has been giving utmost importance to the aesthetic, artistic and literary developments of the students studying under its wings. Today, this department stands at the threshold of attaining further heights in its pursuit of academic excellence, knowledge acquisition and activation of the dormant and latent abilities, potentialities and talents in the students.

     7. To generate in the students enduring love for fellow human beings as well as fellow creatures in the wild.

    8. To promote in the students ethos related to our nation such as truth,peace,tolerance and love.

    9. To develop in the students aesthetic sensibility and sensitivity.
