I. National Webinar on Mergers and Acquisitions

Time:11.00Am to 1.30PM

Post Graduate Department of Commerce in association with ICT Academy Trivandrum , Career Guidance and placement Club and IQAC of Kristu Jyoti College of Management and Technology, Changanacherry organises National webinar on Mergers and Acquisitions on 13^th August  2021, at 11.00 am. Mr. Hari Janardhanan, Director,( Strategy and Transactions, EY GDS ) was the resource person. The Platform used was Google Meet. Total of 171 participants were take part in the workshop which includes, students, faculties, and Research scholars in and around the state. The programme begins with a silent prayer. Dr.Varghese Antony (Vice Principal of Kristu Jyoti College of Management and Technology and Head of the Department of post graduate department of Commerce) delivered the welcome speech. The session covers an introduction to mergers and acquisitions, factors to be considered while moving on to M and A and also the various reasons that may cause failures during the process.  The session was very much informative for the participants, as it was delivered in very simple and precise manner. In the end of the session, there was a question answering session to clarify the queries of the participants. The Webinar ends with the vote of thanks delivered by Mr.Titto Mathew (Assistant Professor, Kristu Jyoti College of Management and technology).

Expected outcome:

• To have an insight into the Mergers and Acquisitions
• To get an awareness on, various merits and demerits of Mergers and Acquisitions and its effects on shareholder’s wealth
• Reasons behind the failures happens in Mergers and Acquisitions

II. National Workshop on Patent Filing and Prosecution Procedure in India

Time:5.00Pm to 6.30PM 

Post Graduate Department of Commerce, Kristu Jyoti College of Management and Technology, Changanacherry in association with Post graduate department of Commerce, Assumption college (Autonomous), Changanacherry, organises National Workshop on Patent Filing and Prosecution procedure in India  30^th August , 2021 ,5.00 pm to 6.30 pm. Mr. Prasanth Rajeev, Founder and Chief R and D Officer, ANSA Infotech , was the resource person. The Platform used was Zoom. Total of 251 participants were take part in the workshop which includes, students, faculties, and Research scholars in and around the state. The programme begins with a prayer song by the college choir. Dr. Varghese Antony (Vice Principal and Head of the Department of post graduate department of Commerce) delivered the welcome speech. The session covers the meaning of patent and its importance, various merits and demerits of getting and patent right and how to make use of the advantages and also on step by step procedure on how to get a patent in India. The session was very much informative for the participants, as it was delivered in very simple and precise manner. In the end of the session, there was a question answering session to clarify the queries of the participants. The workshop ends with the vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Sincy Kurian (HOD, Commerce, Assumption college).
