National Hindi Day
The Webinar inviting a distinguished guest for the Hindi Day Celebration was the idea taken up by Mrs.Saaji Sudhir (Department of Hindi)in connection with Hindi Divas which was held on September 14 owing to the covid times & webinars happening everywhere. The speaker himself an Associate Professor & HoD of Hindi Department of S.B College Changanacherry, Kottayam, Kerala, agreed to the Webinar & he spoke up on "Hindi Bhasha Ka Mahatva". The meeting on 14th September 2021 was presided over by the Principal, Fr Joshy Cheeramkuzhy. The whole program was attended by 107 participants on Google Meet Platform. The session was engaging and lively. The speaker made the whole session interesting by including a lot of informative materials and examples from all those he had read and understood from his research. The meeting ended with a Vote of Thanks by Lakshmi K V, Third year Student of Geology Department. 91 E-Certificates were issued. As part of Vishwa Hindi Divas (World Hindi Day), Hindi Essay Writing Competition were announced on the topic:-
" Dahej Pratha Ek Samajik Abhishap Hai"(Dowry System Is A Social Curse). It was an Inter College Competition.
Hindi Divas (Day Observance)
The seminar inviting a distinguished guest for the Hindi Day Celebration was the idea taken up by Mrs.Saaji Sudhir (Department of Hindi) in connection with HindiDivas which was held on September 14 its first time the seminar is being conducted offline after the COVID times. The speaker herself is an Assistant Professor, Department of Hindi,S.N Arts & Science College Kumarakam, ,Kottayam, Kerala, agreed to the Seminar & she spoke up on "वर्तमान वैश्विक सन्दर्भ में हिंदी". The meeting on 14th September 2022 was presided over by the Principal, Fr Joshy Cheeramkuzhy. The whole program
was attended by 115 participants came to attend the Hindi seminar,@Seminar hall. The session was engaging and lively. The speaker made the whole session interesting by including a lot of informative materials and examples from all those Photographs&Brochure she had read and understood from her research. The meeting ended with a Vote of Thanks by Meera Sony, Psychology Department.
As part of Vishwa Hindi Divas (World Hindi Day), Hindi Essay Writing Competition were announced on the topic: "स्त्री पुरुष समानता और आधुनिक समाज"(Gender equality and modem society). It was an Inter College Competition.
World Hindi Day
In connection with World Hindi day Celebrations on 10/01/2023, Department of Languages conducted a Seminar on the Topic “HINDI MALAYALAM FILMI GEETON KI MAITHRIPOORN AITHIHASIK YATHRA- EK JHANKI”. Dr. Naveena J Narithookkil, Head of the Department (Hindi), Bishop Choolaparambil Memorial College,Kottayam was the Resource Person. The number of participants were 100. The seminar started by 11.15.am after the formal meeting. The meeting was presided over by the Principal Rev. Fr. Joshy Cheeramkuzhy CMI. Ms Neha Jayakumar presented the welcome speech. and Ms. Athrira M gave a brief introduction about the Guest Speaker. The seminar was expressive and lively. The speaker made the whole session very interesting by including videos of Hindi and Malayalam film songs and the photographs of people related to the music field, old movie posters, and lot of other informative materials. Ms Roshni Harshan expressed the words of gratitude. The Seminar ended by 12.30 pm.
Hindi Diwas
Hindi Diwas is celebrated on September 14 every year to commemorate the adoption of Hindi as the official language of India by the Constituent Assembly of India on this day in 1949. India's first Prime Minister Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru officially declared September 14 as the Hindi Diwas. The Department of Languages at Kristu Jyoti College of Management and Technology organized Hindi Diwas (Day Observance) Hindi Seminar titled “ भारतीय संस्कृति में हिंदी भाषा का महत्व " on September 14, 2023 at 2 pm in the Seminar Hall. The objective of this programme was to provide valuable insights and information to the Undergraduate students who have opted for Hindi as the second language. The Programme commenced with a prayer song by the college choir, followed by the welcome speech by Miss Devika H Kurup, Student, BCom, 1FT1. The Presidential address was delivered by Dr. Varghese Antony, Vice-Principal, Kristu Jyoti College of Management and Technology. The seminar session commenced after the Presidential Address. The seminar session clearly elaborated on the relevance of the Hindi language in the Indian context and highlighted on the importance of learning the National Language. The Programme concluded with a formal vote of thanks by Mr. Goutham, Student, BCom, 1CA1. The session was engaging and lively and provided valuable information for modern Hindi Literature and Indian Culture.
Intercollegiate Hindi Essay Writing Competition
The Essay Writing is to help students develop their ability to clearly express their ideas and arguments in writing session. As part of the Hindi Diwas, Hindi Essay Writing Competition were announced on the topic “Chandrayan 3 set out to conquer the moon” It was an Inter Collegiate online competition The programme witnessed an enthusiastic response from the participants.The students emphazised on the importance of such programmes for language skill development. The Essay Writing are to help the students develop their ability to clearly express their ideas and argument in writing ability. Improve their demonstrate writing skill and used to develop and expand ideas. To help students to build confidence as they learn to creative thinking.
Poetry Writing Competition
The Poetry writing are to help students develop their ability to clearly express their ideas an arguments in writing session. As part of the Hindi Diwas, Hindi Poetry Writing Competition were announced on the topic बारिश का एक दिन । It was an Inter Department offline competition on 18 September 2023 the New Exam Hall @ 2 pm. 24 students participated in the session. The Poetry Writing are to help the students develop their ability to clearly express their ideas an arguments in writing ability . Improve their demonstrate writing skill and used to develop and expand ideas. To help students to build confidence as they learn to creative thinking. Students will be able to identify their creative skills and abilities . Writing skills also called personal skills are a set of essential competencies that can improve a person's ability .
Poster Exhibition
The Department of Languages at Kristu Jyoti College of Management and Technology in Association with IQAC organised Hindi day Observance . As part of the Hindi Diwas, Hindi literature related one poster exhibition arranged September 14.,2023 at 2 pm in the New Exam Hall . The objective of this exhibition was to provide valuable insights and information to the students. The students are able to visually represent the key points and while presenting elaborate on the activity. Students are abled to visually represent the key points and while presenting elaborate on the events and facts. The best advantage of poster making is that is facilitates team work and undestanding along with facilitating creative thinking ability. Poster provide visual, colour full, simple ways to communicate community and events , poster are suitable for display in community spaces. Students will be able to identify their creative skills and abilities.
International Hindi Day Observance- “PARDE KI KAHANIYAN” –Film Streaming – “12th FAIL” (Hindi Movie)
Department of Language in association with IQAC of Kristu Jyoti College of Management and Technology, Changanacherry screened a film titled “12th FAIL” on 10th January 2023, at 11am. as part of the event “PARDE KI KAHANIYAN” .This programme was conducted to observe International Hindi Day and to make the students aware of the importance of Hindi language. The programme was graced by the presence of the Principal, Rev. Dr. Joshy Cheeramkuzhy CMI, IQAC coordinator, Ms Anu Antony, Geology Department HOD Dr. Benno Joseph and the teacher coordinators.. A total of 64 participants were present during the screening. The programme began with the anchors giving a briefing on the importance of Hindi language followed by a small talk by the principal. After that the Principle commenced the movie titled '12th Fail' for the students. The movie that was shown during the screening was a motivational and emotional movie that was based on real life incidents of IPS Officer Mr. Manoj Kumar Sharma. The movie screening was followed by a Movie Review contest for the students
