Flash DRAMA
The PG Department of Social Work organized a program titled "Flash DRAM" across various locations in Kottayam and Kollam districts, aimed at raising awareness about the dangers of substance use among the youth. The program adopted an innovative approach by combining street drama with interactive discussions to engage young people effectively. The goal was to provide them with valuable insights into the health, social, and emotional consequences of substance abuse, while also promoting healthier lifestyle alternatives. The Flash DRAM initiative used creative skits to dramatize the physical, emotional, and social repercussions of substance use. These performances, held at public spaces such as educational institutions and popular hangouts, aimed to capture the attention of the youth and convey the severe impact of addiction. The skits highlighted the breakdown of health, relationships, and future opportunities due to substance abuse, encouraging participants to consider the consequences of such behavior. Through the power of drama, Flash DRAM successfully addressed key issues surrounding substance abuse and its far-reaching effects on individuals and communities.
