OBSERVATION VISIT
As part of the curriculum requirements, the students undertook observation visits to various social welfare, health, counselling, and community-based institutions to gain practical exposure to professional social work settings. The visits were organized to help students understand the structure, functioning, and service delivery mechanisms of different organizations.
The students visited
These visits provided firsthand insight into institutional practices related to health care, counselling, rehabilitation, and community development.
Through direct observation and interaction with institutional staff and professionals, students gained an understanding of the roles and responsibilities of social workers, professional ethics, and interdisciplinary collaboration. The visits also enabled students to relate theoretical concepts learned in the classroom to real-life practice situations.
Overall, the observation visits served as a valuable learning experience, enhancing students’ awareness of diverse practice settings, strengthening observational and analytical skills, and preparing them for future fieldwork and professional social work practice.
