(Offering help to Dialysis patients)
Harsham is a humanitarian approach initiated on the behalf of the students of Kristu Jyoti College organized by the Post Graduate Department of Commerce (M. Com). It aims at financially supporting 12 underprivileged patients with their hemodialysis expenditure for a period of 12 months i.e. 1patient per month.
The monthly fund allocated covers the expenses of 5 hemodialysis and the equipments required for it. Harsham is expected to grow and gain roots profoundly during the years to come. This concept was evoked with the idea of embarking morals and values together with the academic curriculum. Every small amount counts.
Charity visit of B.com first year students (Computer Application and Finance and Taxation) were held. On 6th May 2022 and 9th May 2022 respectively. Com Computer Application students and their respective class tutors Ms. Meethu Mary George and Ms. Rosmy Joseph visited Nalla Samarayan Ashram (A mental care home for women) Kanjirapally on May 6th 2022 students performed cultural programs along with inmates. They contribute ₹21,600.
Charity Visit I
The post graduate department of commerce organised a charity visit to Mother Theresa Caring Home, Nedumkunam on 14th November, 2022. It was a event of few hours here we aimed for the students to engage with the elderly differently abled members of the caring home. There were entertaining programs such as singing and dance as well as interactive games. The students at the end of the event donated a sum to the caring home and concluded the programs with a blast on the dance floor where both the students and the people of the house danced together. Around the place we find birds fish and other animals with which we all spend some time and took some photos. All students were able to bring back sweet memories and empathetic values from the event.
Charity Visit II
BCom. Computer Applications Batch 2 of Post Graduate Department of Commerce in association with IQAC of Kristu Jyoti College of Management and Technology, Changanacherry organized Charity Visit to Snehatheeram 11 November 2022, at 9.00am. The programme began with a prayer song by class choir and thereafter the welcome address delivered by Mr Allat Varghese Sebastian, Student Representative Student took initiative to donate an amount of Rs. 5000 only to the inmates of the centre which works as a social and mental rehabilitation centre. Sr. Rose , in charge of the Snehatheeram received the amount from the students. Students performed various programmes such as dance and music for the inmates. Mr Sebastian Joseph ( Secretary ), Mr Jose John Venguthara ( Trust member ) and Sr Rose ( Mother superior ) shared their experience and inspired students with their powerful words .The outcome of the program was to develop kindness in students and to promote charity related activities among the students. The programme ends with the vote of thanks delivered by Mr. S. Abel Binu Mathew , Student Representative. Students were accompanied by their class tutor, Ms. Sreeja Anand
Charity III
BCom. Finance and Taxation Batch 1 of Post Graduate Department of Commerce in association with IQAC of Kristu Jyoti College of Management and Technology, Changanacherry organised Charity Visit to Jeevan Jyothi Ashram, Malakunnam on 11 November 2022, at 9.00am. The programme began with a prayer song by class choir and thereafter the welcome address delivered by Ms. Sanishma Shaik, Student Representative Student took initiative to donate an amount of Rs. 9000 only to the inmates of the ashram which works as a social and mental rehabilitation centre. Sr. Roselin SABS, in charge of the ashram received the amount from the students. Students performed various programmes such as dance and music for the inmates. The outcome of the program was to develop kindness in students and to promote charity related activities among the students. The programme ends with the vote of thanks delivered by Mr. S. Vishnu Dev, Student Representative. Students were accompanied by their class tutor, Ms. Jeremy Jain Babu.
Charity IV
Charity visit of B.com first year Finance and Taxation Batch 2 students were held on 11th November 2022. It was a memorable and heart touching experience. The students and their class tutor Ms. Rosmy Joseph visited Abhaya Bhavan, Muthoor (A care home for women). Students performed cultural programs along with inmates. They contribute ₹8,000.
Upon realizing the utmost need of the dialysis patients at St. Thomas Hospital, Chethipuzha , We devised the means to extend our supporting hand through Harsham Project.
This project formed as a helping hand for the needy dialysis patients in the society and it contains the kristujyothian concern towards the struggling people in the society. A group of students guided by faculties researched about the struggling community due to dialysis and developed various measures to help them.
Charity Visit I
First Year B.Com F&T Batch 2 of Kristu Jyoti College of Management and Technology, Changanacherry has visited Jeevan Jyothi Ashram at Malakunnam on 16/10/2023 as part of the extension programme Charity Visit. The students made contribution of an amount of Rs. 7000 which was donated to the charity home. This inculcated the spirit of sharing and caring of the society in the students, as responsible individuals.
Charity Visit II
B.Com. Computer Applications Batch 1 of Post Graduate Department of Commerce in association with IQAC of Kristu Jyoti College of Management and Technology, Changanacherry organized Charity Visit to Snehatheeram on 16th October 2023, at 9.00am. The programme began with a prayer song by class choir and thereafter the welcome address delivered by Mr.Surya Sunoj Student Representative .Student took initiative to donate an amount of Rs.7000 only to the inmates of the centre which works as a social and mental rehabilitation centre. Students cut a cake and distributed to the inmates.

Students were accompanied by their class tutor, Ms. Salvy mathew.

Finance and Taxation Batch 1 of Post Graduate Department of Commerce in association with IQAC of Kristu Jyoti College of Management and Technology, Changanacherry organised Charity Visit to Caring Hands Mother Teresa Home Charitable trust on 16 October 2023. The programme began with a song by class choir. Students took initiative to donate an amount of Rs. 6000 to the inmates of the home which works as a social and mental rehabilitation centre. Fr.James Pazhamadom, in charge of the ashram received the amount from the students. Students performed various programmes such as dance and music for the inmates. The programme ends with the vote of thanks delivered by Mr. Alan William Joseph. Students were accompanied by their class tutor, Ms. Meenu Susan Jacob.
