International Yoga Day Celebration

The Post Graduate Department of Commerce Kristu Jyoti College of Management and Technology Changanassery (B.Com. Computer Application Semester 4 Batch 2) hosted an event to celebrate the International Yoga Day and to inaugurate the opening of the ‘Yoga Club’ in the college. The Chief Guest for the event was Mr. M.G. Dileep (M.Sc. Yoga Therapy, Vice President of Pathanamtitta Yoga Association). The event started with a prayer song(by Sree Valli and Zuhaira), welcome note was delivered by Dr. Varghese Antony(Vice-Principal, HOD of commerce), followed by the presidential addressing by Rev. Fr. Joshy Cheeramkuzhy CMI(Principal). After the presidential addressing, it was a solo song (by Sruthy K. Thomas). The event was continued by the lighting of the lamp to inaugurate the ‘Yoga Club’ along with the inaugural addressing by the chief guest. The inaugural addressing was very interactive with the guest teaching various facts of yoga and showing a breathing technique. After the inaugural addressing, International books of record holder Miss Ansu Mary Saji for the title “Longest time to hold front split between two chairs” was honoured with ponnada by Rev. Fr. Joshy Cheeramkuzhy CMI(Principal). The event continued with a group performance named “Free Flow Yoga Dance” (by Abin and team). Followed by a solo yoga performance by Ansu Mary. The event was concluded by the vote of thanks (by Sharon Abraham) and signing off by the MC(Swaroop Warrier)

 

 Martyrs’ Day Observance 

An awareness program was conducted to all the 6th semester B. Com Finance and Taxation (Batch-2) students on the event of Martyrs’ Day. It was conducted on 30th of January 2023 at 2 pm.  As a part of day observance, a quiz competition was also conducted for all four batches of 6th semester financial taxation and computer application. Prices were also distributed to the winners of the competition. In the event, we gratefully remembered the countless freedom fighters who sacrificed their all for our Independence. To honor the real heroes of our country the students conducted different programs such as documentaries, patriotic songs and presentations. Along with that there was also a talk with the Honorary Captain, Bhaskaran Pillai who shared the hurdles and memories of his professional life with the students.

 

 New Year Day Celebration

PG Department of Commerce of  Kristu Jyoti College of Management and Technology Changanassery  hosted an event to celebrate the New Year Day . The event started with  the  distribution of new year card to the Principal and  the staff members  by the students of B.Com Computer Applications ,batch I, semester III. The cards were made by the students themselves. After wishing all the staff members, all the students of the college gathered at the portico in front of the college. Principal ,  Rev. Fr. Joshy Cheeramkuzhy CMI addressed the gathering and delivered the new year message. After the message  Miss Annu & team had a dance performance. The event was continued at 4.00 pm by a gathering of the students and staff for a cake cutting ceremony. The event was concluded by the vote of thanks by Miss Ann Mary Suresh.

 

Children’s Day Celebration

The Post Graduate Department of Commerce of  Kristu Jyoti College of Management and Technology ,Changanassery  hosted an event to celebrate the children’s day in the college. The Chief Guest for the event was Rev. Fr. Philipose Thunduvalichirayil CMI. The event started with making different colours of kites, followed by children’s flying the  kite with Fr. Philipose Thunduvalichirayil CMI. The event was continued by playing with the kids in the ground. It was really rejuvenating and fun for the kids.

 

Seminar on India’s Freedom @ 75 and Human Rights

Post Graduate Department of Commerce in association with Internal Quality Assurance Cell of Kristu Jyoti College of Management and Technology conducted a seminar on India’s Freedom @ 75 and Human Rights. The chief Guest of the seminar was Adv K P Prasanth. The seminar started with a prayer song of department choir. Welcome speech was delivered by Ms. Jasmine Joshy (Final Year BCom Finance and Taxation) and followed by presidential address of Vice Principal and Head Department of Commerce Dr. Varghese Antony. The session was very interactive and discussed various aspects of India’s freedom and evolution of human rights in India and rest of the world. He made some remarks about the world best seller Sapiens by Yuvel Noah Harari. Words of gratitude was extended by Mr. Swaroop Warrier (Final Year B.Com Computer Applications). Seminar came to an end by 4 PM.

 

 

Quit India Movement Day

As part of the quit India Movement day Observance Caption writing competition was conducted for all UG and PG Students by The Post Graduate Department of Commerce, Kristu Jyoti College of Management and technology 10th August 2022. The Participants should put the poster attached with the message as a WhatsApp status or Instagram story for a duration of more than 5 hours and share the respective screenshots in the Google form after the duration to enter the competition.

 

International Right to know Day Observance

As part of the International Right to know Day Observance Poster making competition was conducted for all UG and PG Students by The Post Graduate Department of Commerce, Kristu Jyoti College of Management and technology September 29, 2022 on the topic “freedom is not a privilege, it’s a right.  The Participants should send their entries to the given whatsap number on or before 6th October 2022.

 

World Student’s Day Celebration

Third year students of B.com Finance and taxation Batch 1, of Kristu Jyoti College of Management and Technology, Changanacherry hosted an event to celebrate the World Student’s Day. The day was marked with Quiz competition and Portrait competition of Dr.APJ Abdul Kalam followed by a two hour programme .The event started with a prayer song by Merlin James(Student),  welcome note was delivered by Susan Raju(Student), followed by the felicitation by Dr.Varghese Antony (Vice Principal and HOD, Kristu Jyoti College) followed by  a  speech by Mr. Thomaskutty M.O.(Course –Co-ordinator, Department of Commerce) next a Duet (by Avani and Bhagya). Speech was delivered by Mariya Xavier. There was a dance performance by Sreya and Aneena. A Documentary was presented showcasing the life of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam it was Edited by Abel Reji Sam.
