Industrial Visit

Report on Industrial visit ( M.Com 2021-2023 Batch)

As part of the curriculum , an Industrial visit has been arranged for M.Com Semester 2 students. the visit was conducted on 24th June 2022 ( Friday) to ISRO ( Indian Space Research Organization) Trivandrum. The visit includes 34 students and 2 faculty members. The team reached ISRO at 9.30 am. Major activities include Museum visit and 30 minutes show about the history of ISRO. In the visit, the participants were able to have a good understanding about the role of Indian satellites and also the launch vehicles in the field of Communication, weather forecasting, disaster management, agricultures, and resource identification and so on. The 30 minutes shows gave us a clear picture about the role of various eminent personalities like Vikram Sara Bhai, Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam   etc in the building up of Indian Space Mission. The information about Chandrayan and Mangalyam creates excitement and proud. The team were also able to witness the models of launch vehicles, satellites, rockets etc. This Industrial visit conducted to ISRO helps to have more insight into the role of satellites in trade and commerce as well. The team left ISRO at 12.30 pm and visited Lulu mall Trivandrum and reached college campus at 9.30 pm.

 

Industrial Visit 

A one day Industrial Visit was organized by the Post Graduate department of Commerce for the second year students of B.com Computer Applications as a part of their academic activities. The visit was well planned and organized by the faculty. The destination for the visit was Milma – one of the leading milk and dairy manufacturers in Kerala. We visited their Ernakulam Regional Co-Operative Milk manufacturing sector. As a part of the visit, students got an opportunity to gain new ideas and learn about the world of commerce. This was also an opportunity for them to think out of the box.

We had a long journey the entire day. All of us gathered early morning in the college the very day and started our journey past 6. We reached the Milma Diary by 9.30 and some little procedures including the entry pass and visiting hours kept us in the line and we were able to enter the diary post 10.30, we were guided by Srinivas Prabhu, a Technical Supervisor of Milma Diary Ernakulam, he has been working in milma for the past 4 years and he was a great guide for us. He spoke about the per day production of different products manufactured and produced at the unit and also about the raw materials and so on. It was much worth visiting the place as we could understand many things like about what we consume daily as diary products.

 

Industrial Visit

Post Graduate Department of Commerce Kristu Jyoti College of Management and Technology Changanacherry (B.Com Computer Application Semester 4 Batch 2) organized a One Day Industrial Visit on 13th May 2022 to Keltron, Karakulam, Thiruvananthapuram.

The journey started off from college at 5.30 in the morning with 49 students under the guidance of Ms Shincy K Kurian (class tutor) and Ms Rosmy Joseph. We reached Keltron around 10am. We were led by an instructor who briefed us about the different stages of manufacturing of CPU and inverter. It was indeed an informative experience. After that we left for Lulu mall, Thiruvananthapuram, where we spent around 3 hours of quality time and had the lunch. At 3.30 pm we reached Vettukadu beech to explore the evening vibes at Thiruvananthapuram. Thereafter we headed our way back to the college and arrived around 9.30 pm where all the students were dropped off.

 

Industrial Visit

Post Graduate Department of Commerce Kristu Jyoti College of Management and Technology Changanacherry (B.Com Finance and Taxation Semester 2 Batch 1) organized a One Day Industrial Visit on 27th May 2022 to Mima Ernakulam Diary, Tripunithara.

The journey started off from college at 6.30 in the morning with 54 students under the guidance of Ms Krishnapriya (class tutor) and Ms Neeraja S Raj. We reached Milma Dairy around 10am. All of us entered the plant wearing hair caps. We were led by an instructor who briefed us about the different stages of procurement, processing and delivery of milk. She explained how milk is collected from societies and is brought and stored in huge silos. Later it’s transferred to a plant where the milk is pasteurized and segregated into low fat, high fat and skimmed milk. Once this is done, it is ready to be packed.There are highly specialized machinery which packs the milk into packets alongside which workers transfer these packets into trays manually in order to be stored in the cold storage freezer. We were also taken to the freezer where milk is stored at 6-7 degrees. It is from the cold storage where container vehicles collect the milk packets and deliver it to different outlets. It was indeed an informative experience in knowing how those milk packets reached the final consumers. After that we left for Lulu mall, Kochi where we spent around 3 hours of quality time. At 5 pm we reached Marine drive to explore the evening vibe at Kochi with good backwater views. Thereafter we headed our way back to the college and arrived around 10 pm where all the students were dropped off.

 

Industrial Visit

Post Graduate Department of Commerce, Kristu Jyoti College of Management and Technology, Changanacherry organized Industrial visit for MCom Semester II Students to Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, India. The journey stared from college at 5.30 pm with 23 students under the guidance of Ms. Thushara Sojan and Ms. Sinu Mary Devasia (Assistant professors, Post Graduate Department of Commerce). By 9.00 am the team reached at Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre, Thiruvananthapuram. There the students were able to know more about all the milestones that the ISRO achieved which adds to the credit of our nation. The visit ends by 11.30 am and the team move towards Lulu Mall Trivandrum and also to Mangrove village, Kollam. The visit provides the students with in-depth knowledge about the space stations and the various satellites and launch vehicles that our nation have.
