The Post Graduate Department of Commerce started offering B.Com Finance and  Taxation course from the year 2012 and has produced 12 successful batches till this date. 

It Started offering 4 years B.Com Honours Degree (FYUGP) in the Year 2024.

B.com Finance and Taxation

A Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) in Finance and Taxation is a specialized degree that provides students with knowledge and skills in finance, taxation laws, and regulations. Graduates of B.Com in Finance and Taxation programs have a wide range of career opportunities in finance, taxation, accounting, banking, insurance, investment, or consulting firms. They can pursue roles such as tax consultant, financial analyst, investment banker, tax auditor, risk manager, financial planner, or corporate treasurer. B.Com in Finance and Taxation provides students with a specialized skill set in finance and taxation, making them well-prepared for various careers in finance, taxation, accounting, or related fields.

   i)To train and nurture accounting skills and competencies among students.

   ii) To inculcate right decision making skills and managerial abilities among the students.

  iii) To create proficiencies and capabilities in taxation and other related arenas of commerce   discipline.

OBJECTIVES

	B.Com Finance and Taxation course is designed with the following objectives:
a	To equip the students with the required practical skills in professional accounting and other inter related areas.
b	To realise the goal of capacity building in higher education in relation to the field of commerce
c	To encourage students to become entrepreneurs by undertaking training programs in various forms
d	To promote excellence in teaching and research and thereby becoming a reliable resource center for the students.

  ADMISSION PROCEDURE

The student seeking admission for the B Com course should submit the Application form duly filled in the college office. The application form can be bought from the college office by paying a fee of Rs.500/-or can be downloaded from the college website.

Students with more than 85% in 12^th Grade will be eligible for admission.
