The Quiz Club of Kristu Jyoti College of Management and Technology strives to discover students with aptitude for quizzing and provide them with opportunity to develop their quizzing abilities.

The quiz club kcmt is a vibrant and dynamic intellectual community that thrives on the pursuit of knowledge, the thrill of competition, and the joy of learning. Founded with the vision of bringing together students who share a common passion for quizzing and intellectual exploration, our club has grown into a hub of curiosity.

• To expose the quizzing talents of students by involving them to conduct intercollegiate and interdepartmental quiz competitions
• To guide on specific areas of quizzing and encourage to participate in quiz competitions
• To give them a heads-up when appearing for competitive examinations

Quizzania Quiz Competition 2022 -‘23

The Quiz Club of the college in association with IQAC organized a mega quiz competition Quizzania 2022-‘23 for all the first-year students of both U.G. and P.G. batches. The competition was held in three major rounds. The first two rounds were in the form of written examination, which served as the screening for the final round. Top 2 from each class were selected for the second round and top six from the second round were qualified for the mega Quizzania round. Cash prizes were awarded to all the toppers. An informative Quiz Bank compiled by the faculty of Kristu Jyoti College of Management and Technology was provided for the students to refer. The questions for the first two rounds were based only on the quiz bank. The third and final round were an oral competition that consists of mini levels. The finals were conducted in three rounds: Topic Selection, Rapid Fire and Visual round. The marks of these three rounds were added to get the total score. Mr. Roji Thomas (HoD, Post-Graduate Department of Computer Application) was the Quiz Master for the final round. Amala Hormis (B.Com CA1), Jomol Babu (MA. HRM) and Jeremy Ray Samuel (B.Com CA2) emerged in the first, second and third positions respectively. The Principal declared the winners and awarded them with cash prizes of Rs. 2000, 1000 and 500.

Quizzania Quiz Competition Round 1 2023 -‘24

The Quiz Club of the college in association with IQAC organized a mega quiz competition Quizzania 2023 for all the first-year students of both U.G. and P.G. batches.
The first round of the quiz were in multiple choice format, which served as the screening for the upcoming rounds. An informative Quiz Bank compiled by the faculties of Kristu Jyoti College of Management and Technology was provided for the students to refer. The questions for the first round were based only on the quiz bank.
The first round of the competition was conducted on 6th December 2023 from 3:00pm to 4:00pm.The competitions was conducted for all the first year batches of undergraduate and postgraduate students in their respective classes. Top 2 from each class were selected for the next round. And a total of 30 students were selected from all the fifteen first year classes.
The first round of the quiz competition received wide range of applause from different areas. As all the first year students had given access to participate in the competition, it provided an equal opportunity to everyone irrespective of anything. Distribution of prizes paved a range of encouragement to the students which helped them in building their confidence

Seminar on “Mastering the art of Quizzing”

The Quiz Club of Kristu Jyoti College of Management and Technology, Changanacherry, conducted an insightful seminar on "Mastering the Art of
Quizzing" on January 25, 2025. The event, aimed at enhancing the quizzing skills of students, featured Mr. Aswin A, a celebrated quiz master, as the resource person. The seminar was interactive, with students actively engaging in discussions, asking questions, and clarifying their doubts. Resource person’s approachable teaching style and her ability to connect theoretical concepts with practical applications made the session both informative and enjoyable.
The seminar commenced with a solemn prayer song, setting a positive tone for the day. This was followed by the inaugural address delivered by the college
principal, Fr. Dr. Joshy George, who emphasized the importance of quizzing in sharpening intellectual abilities and fostering curiosity among students.
The welcome speech was delivered by a student coordinator, who extended a warm greeting to the participants and the esteemed resource person. Mr. Aswin A
then conducted an engaging session covering various aspects of quizzing, including preparation strategies, critical thinking techniques, and tips for staying
calm during competitions.

Clash of Minds” – Debate Competition

The Clash of Minds was successfully conducted on 14^th February 2025. The event aimed to enhance students' critical thinking, communication skills, and confidence in public speaking. A total of 10 teams (45 participants) competed on various thought-provoking topics. The competition commenced with a welcome speech by Muhammed Fayaz, followed by the announcement of the rules. The debates were conducted in multiple rounds, allowing each team to present their arguments for and against the given topics.
