The Electoral Literacy Club of Kristu Jyoti College of Management and Technology started in 2022 with the motive of making the students aware of their rights and duties as citizens of our nation.

To enable the students to avail the facility of Electoral id card and to exercise their right of citizenship.
Activity I
The Electoral club in association with IQAC of Kristu Jyoti College of Management and Technology conducted an orientation programme on voter Id Registration on 6th december,2022. The programme commenced from 11:30 am at room no.702. Mr.Rajeev Kumar K.R,Deputy Tahsildar of Changanacherry Taluk was the resource person.The programme was moderated by Mr.Jojy Joseph, Election clerk of Changanacherry Taluk. The easy procedures for voter id registration through voter helpline app was clearly explained.62 students from second year B.com Finance and Taxation batch was the participants. Students started applying for voter ID with the help of voter helpline app. The outcome of the programme is that the orientation enabled the students to easily apply for their electoral ID card.The outcome of the programme extended to first and second year students of various departments of the college.
Activity II
Slogan Writing Competition
The Electoral club in association with IQAC of Kristu Jyoti College of Management and Technology conducted a slogan writing competition on 19th October. The programme commenced from 11:30 am at room no.702. Around 20 students participated in the competition. Students were asked to write slogans that will encourage others in casting their votes and make them aware about their voting rights. Many creative slogans were written by the students. The task of finding out the winner was pretty much difficult but finally Christeena Zacharia, student of BCA sem 4 secured the first prize. A cash prize of Rs.500 was handed over to the winner by the principal, Rev Father Joshy Cheeramkuzhy CMI. All other students were appreciated for their participation
Activity I
Orientation program on Voter ID Registration
The Electoral Literacy club at Kristu Jyoti College of Management and Technology organized an orientation programme about Voter ID registration on 20th September 2023, from 11.30am to 1 pm. The objective of this program was to provide information on how to register for voters id in both offline and inline mode.
The esteemed resource person for the event was Jaishankar k, Deputy Tahsildar Changanacherry.The program commenced with a welcome speech by Ms. Devika Rajeev(Bsc.Psychology sem 5), followed by inauguration and inaugural address.The event concluded with a vote of thanks given by Ms. Rose Mol Thomas.The session was also taken by Mr.Jogy Joseph(Election Clerk) and Ratheesh R(Technical Assistant).The session helped students get to know about how to provide online application for voter id.
Activity II
Demonstration Class
The Electoral Literacy club in association with IQAC of Kristu Jyoti College of Management and Technology planned a meeting with the technical assistant, Trivandrum taluk, Mr. Ratheesh R
Four students namely Gowtham Thulsi, Abhishek Panicker, Anuraj T R and Lino Jose met the resource person. The objective of the meeting was to learn from him about the process of applying for voter’s id. The session commenced at 2.30pm on 29th September 2023 at his office. The four coordinators of the club are now ready to provide the required support to all the students of Kristu Jyoti college(specially first year students) for voter id registration.
Activity III
This report details the outcomes and impact of the voter ID registration campaign conducted from 4 th December 2023 to 7 th December 2023 at college campus. The campaign aimed to enroll the students of Kristu Jyoti College in Voter’s identity list. The campaign commenced at 10:00 am in room no. 109. A group of 8 students from MCA sem1 volunteered the campaign under the guidance of faculties Ms. Tintu Varghese and Mr. Bibin. Prior to the campaign, a small session on registration process was given by Anuraj T R to other volunteers. The details for voter id registration were collected through google forms and each student who responded were summoned to the venue for verifying their information. Moreover, students who need voter id but failed to submit the google form were asked to bring the necessary information next day. The club members and the volunteers were able to enter the details of around 111 students of the college, making the voter enrollment drive a huge success.
