“Business Ideas at Covid Times competition
On 2nd AUGUST 2021 Department of Management Studies, Kristu Jyoti College of Management and Technology conducted an online competition named “BUSINESS IDEAS AT COVID TIMES” and the entries were made open to all KCMT students. Prof.Aswathy was the Coordinator for this online initiative also. The main objective of the programme was to involve students in activities and assignments during the COVID PANDEMIC situation and to evaluate their business ideas in economic perspective. The department collected many creative ideas and plans from students and done careful analysis by expert panel members.
Case study competition
On SEPTEMBER 2021 Post Graduate Department of Management Studies, Kristu Jyoti College of Management and Technology conducted an online case study competition named “DOSSIER” and the entries were made open for Department of Management & Department of Commerce Students. Mr.Christin Mathew was the Coordinator for this online initiative also. The main objective of the programme was to involve students in activities and assignments during the COVID PANDEMIC situation
CHRYSALIS-2020
The Department of Management in association with Chrysalis the department association has organized a virtual Intra Management Fest on 20th October 2021 at 10.00 Am. Rev. Fr. Joshy Cheeramkuzhy CMI the Principal of the Kristu Jyoti College of Management and Technology, inaugurated the fest under the presidency of Professor Thomas Mathew, the HoD of the post graduate department of Management and other teachers of the department. The intra management fest was live-streamed in YouTube. The fest was initiated with a prayer song by Ms. Sruthy Vijayakumar, student of 2ndyear BBA.Ms Rosbin Kadathil proposed the welcome speech , Professor Thomas Mathew felicitated the gathering. The events are planned and designed in such a way as to gauge the managerial, inter-personal and language skills of aspiring managerial students. Nine events namely Business Ideas @ Covid ,Business Quiz, Product launch, English Elocution,Malayalam Elocution ,Solo ,Solo dance, Photography were conducted. RE-UNION 2021- BBA 2014-2017 BATCH
In the midst of Covid-19 Pandemic situation Post Graduate Department of Management Studies, Kristu Jyoti College of Management and Technology took initiatives to get in touch with the old students (Kristu jyotians) and as a result on 6th JUNE 2021 at 7.00 PM (IST) the department organized an ONLINE WEBINAR named REUNION-2021 for BBA-2014-17 batch students. The entire effort for this online initiative was done by a panel comprising faculty members and student coordinators. The session commenced with a welcome speech following an interactive session handled by Head of the Department of Management Studies, Prof. Thomas Mathew. The event provided a chance for students to catch up with old friends and reminisce about memories from their golden days. Students were given an individual chance for a self-introduction and they felt very happy to introduce their family and also about their successful career path were the foundation stones laid from their beloved college. Students expressed sincere gratitude towards the institution and to all coordinators for conducting such an online successful event. College reunions are one of the best ways to strengthen the connection between alumni and the college. The goal of the reunion committee was to promote college alumni association activities, and to build a lifelong relationship and wide network with Kristu jyotians around the world.

REPORT ON TALK SESSION vis ton rêve (Be Confident And Live Your Dream) HELD ON 23-02-2022 “Never give up! We all are Champion”
On February 23rd,2022 MHRM students of The Post Graduate Department of Management Studies ,Kristu Jyoti College of Management and Technology organized a talk show titled vis ton rêve (Be confident and live your dream). The talk was aimed towards creating a motivation towards the students of post graduate departments of the college which included the students from the Department of Computer, Psychology, and Commerce.
The talk session was handled by Mr.Sanju P.Cherian (Asst.Prof.Saintgits College of Applied Science,Pathamuttam, Kottayam) who is a renowned speaker ,a certified trainer, leadership consultant ,mentalist who has received National Level Teacher Felicitation Award by the Ministry of Human Resource Development. Almost 250 students participated in the session on that day which was from 2pm to 3:30pm at Examination Hall.
VIRTUAL ONAM CELEBRATION
The onam celebration programs was an idea taken up by the Management Department owing to the COVID times. The program coordinators conducted the programs with utmost care and the topic of the onam celebrations was “Veetil Irunn Onam”. The meeting on 23 August 2021 was presided over by the Head of the Department, Prof.Thomas Mathew. The whole program was attended by 85 participants on Google Meet platform.
The onam programs was engaging and lively including the students, teacher's and other participants with fun filled games. The students of the Management Department department conducted a bunch of variety programs through online with a full burst of fun and energy.
The celebrations ended successfully by a vote of thanks by Angel Sunny of third year BBA.
Research Methods and Techniques
The Department of Management Studies of Kristu Jyoti College of Management and Technology conducted a webinar class titled” Research Methods and Techniques” which was held on 1st September 2021 to 5th September 2021from 6PM to 8PM via google meet. The 1st day class was handled by Dr. Gabriel Simon Thattil was the dean and Professor of Kerala University. It gave information about identification of research problem. The 2nd day class was handled by Dr. S Kevin was the Former Pro Vice Chancellor, Kerala University. It gives information about the topic formulation and testing of hypothesis. The 3rd day class was handled by Dr. Rajesh S Pyngavil was the Professor and Head of Rajadhani Business School. It gives information about the topic designing the tools for data collection. The 4th day class was handled by Dr. Antony Joseph K was the president IAA Alappuzha Branch and Associate Professor of SB College, Changanacherry. It give information about the topic of tools and techniques of data analysis. And 5th day class was handled by Dr. S Veeramani was assistant professor of Jamia Milia Islamia Central University. It give information about the topic of reference management and publication ethics. More than 85 students joined the session.

Opportunities Aboard
The Department of Management Studies of Kristu Jyoti College of Management and Technology conducted a webinar class titled “Opportunities aboard” which was held on 4th August, Wednesday 2021 from 10.30AM to 12.30PM via zoom meeting. The class was handled by Mr. Neeraj. T was the Campus Team Lead, GEEBEE Education. It gives information about opportunities abroad for higher studies and jobs opportunities. Gave insights about various career options available to the BBA and B.com graduates. He empazhised the various opportunities available in UPSC, PSC and other corporate companies’ .More than 85 students joined the session.

The Art of writing Research Paper
The Department of Management Studies of Kristu Jyoti College of Management and Technology conducted a national webinar on research methodology titled “The Art of writing Research Paper” which was held on 27th July, Tuesday 2021 from 7PM to 8PM via Google meeting. The class was handled by Dr. Bharathi Rajan R Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce, Rajagiri College of Social Science. It give information about the important factor of research writing such as coherence, organization, relevance and clarity. More than 85 students joined the session.

WEBINAR SERIES- "AMALGUM"
As a part of students development programme in the month of OCT 2021 IQAC in Association Department of Management Studies conducted a webinar series, a 5 DAY Programme named “AMALGUM”.Individual programmes were organized from each departments and as a part of the series on 5TH OCTOBER 2021 Department of Management Studies, Kristu Jyoti College of Management and Technology conducted an online case study competition named “DOSSIER” and the entries were made open for Department of Management & Department of Commerce Students. Prof.Christin Mathew was the Coordinator for this online initiative also.
There were lectures delivered from eminent personalities and selective topics were covered in the entire sessions which is more beneficial to the students.
The main objective of the programme was to involve students in extracurricular activities during the COVID PANDEMIC situation and to improve their interactive skills. In each lectures students raised most relevant doubts and the experts cleared instantly by sharing their practical experiences from their vast career background.
CAREER DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME
On 23rd March, a career development programme was conducted in Kristu Jyoti College of Management and Technology by MAAC that focused on creating awareness among students about the various courses offered by the academy and its relevance in the job market.
The programme began as an interactive session following which the students were encouraged to share aspirations and voice their thoughts on the courses offered by them.
The courses offered by them include:
1) visual effects (VFX)
2) Animation
3) Graphic designing
5) Interior Designing
6) Web Designing
7) Gaming
The Programme was attended by 60 students from Department of Management and the event was conducted by Mr. SREEJITH MONI
The Programme enabled the students to understand the salary structure of jobs available and how each of the courses were beneficial for achieving those jobs.
WORLD NATURE CONSERVATION DAY
On July 2021 Department of Management Studies, Kristu Jyoti College of Management and Technology conducted an open craft making competition for all students of KCMT named “BEST OUT OF WASTE”. The event was coordinated by Ms.Aswathy R Nair through open entries and received more registrations from all departments. Based on their creativity and imagination students crafted beautiful, innovative and environment friendly items by their own hands. For best craftwork department handed over special token of appreciation.
The objective of the Event
To create awareness among students and to provide ultimate solution to the below question:
How do you best use your household waste?
There could be several things made from waste materials at home. Hence the best out of waste craft ideas are most suitable to reuse waste materials and decorate your house.
Waste products can be of different kinds:
Organic waste such as kitchen waste, vegetables, flowers, leaves, fruits.
Toxic waste like old medicines, paints, chemicals, bulbs, spray cans, fertilisers and pesticide containers, batteries, shoe polish and,
Recyclable waste like paper, glass, metals, plastics.
Practically through this event students proved they can also be part of the environment protection movement through these type of activities from school and also from the college level.
