Self Defense Training Program

A one day Self Defense Training Program for Women was held by the Women cell KCMT in association with Internet Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and Civil Police, Kerala on 12 July 2022. The session was conducted at KJ Indoor Stadium at 10:30 am. The Inaugural session was chaired by Rev. Fr. Joshy Cheeramkuzhy CMI, Principal, Kristu Jyoti College. After the inaugural session, Mrs. Shema Subash, Senior Civil Police Officer and Self Defense Trainer gave an awareness session on the dangers and the recent scenarios that points out to the need for self defense classes. Following the session, a two hour training program was carried out. Students actively participated in the same. The session was concluded after the vote of thanks.

Emergency Care

The Women Cell of KCMT in association with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell conducted a training session on the topic “ Emergency Care” on  25 July 2022. The session was conducted at Seminar hall at 10:00 am. The chief resource person for the event was  Mrs. Sruthy Rajagopal, Head of Infection Control, Ahalia Group of Hospitals, UAE. The session began with a prayer song by Ms. Anumol, Department of Geology. Ms. Gopika Mohan, Women Cell Representative from the department of Geology welcomed the gathering.  Rev. Fr. Joshy Cheeramkuzhy CMI, Principal of Kristu Jyoti College delivered the presidential address. After the inaugural session, Mrs. Sruthy Rajagopal gave a detailed awareness and training session on the different categories of first hand emergency response situations and the remedial measures. A live demonstration was also conducted. Students actively participated in the same. The session was concluded after the vote of thanks.
