The Post Graduate Department of Management Studies organized a Self-Defence Awareness and Training Programme on 30 June 2025 under the Life Skills Development Framework, with 99 students participating in the offline session. Coordinated by Mr. Dileep Viswan, the programme featured Mr. Aju Abraham, Secretary of the District Karate Association, Kottayam and President of ISKF India, as the resource person. The event began with an inaugural session led by the Principal, Rev. Fr. Dr. Joshy George, followed by a felicitation by the Vice Principal, Adv. Dr. Joseph Sam. The training focused on situational awareness, risk perception, and practical self-defence techniques, supported by demonstrations and hands-on practice. An interactive Q&A session further enhanced student engagement. Feedback was highly positive, with participants appreciating the practical approach and relevance of the session. Overall, the programme effectively improved students’ confidence, personal safety awareness, and decision-making skills, contributing to their holistic development.

Activity I - ZUMBA
The Post Graduate Department of Management Studies, in association with IQAC of Kristu Jyoti College of Management and Technology, Changanacherry, organized a Zumba training programme on 28th and 29th July 2025 as part of the induction programme for BBA Semester I students, with 57 participants attending the offline sessions. Coordinated by Ms. Liya Titto, the programme was led by Mr. Shiyas Kerim, an internationally licensed Zumba fitness instructor. Conducted at the Yoga Hall from 2.00 p.m. to 3.30 p.m., the sessions aimed to promote awareness about health, fitness, and overall wellness among students through engaging and energetic Zumba exercises. The interactive sessions provided valuable insights into maintaining a healthy lifestyle and overcoming common health issues, while also encouraging active student participation. Feedback from participants was highly positive, with students expressing enthusiasm and appreciation for the informative and practical nature of the programme. Overall, the initiative successfully enhanced students’ understanding of the importance of physical fitness and wellness, contributing to improved awareness, better learning readiness, and holistic development.


Activity II - Linkedin workshop
The Post Graduate Department of Management Studies conducted a LinkedIn Workshop on 30 July 2025 with 50 participants, coordinated by Ms. Aswathy R. Nair. The session, led by Mr. Jelit Mathews Joseph, Personal Branding Expert from Marian College Kuttikkanam, focused on LinkedIn profile creation, optimization, networking strategies, and job search tools. Through interactive discussions and practical guidance, students enhanced their professional online presence, with over 90% creating or improving their profiles. The programme concluded with a Q&A session and received highly positive feedback for its practical relevance, significantly improving students’ awareness of digital networking and personal branding.

Activity III - CHRYSALIS
The Post Graduate Department of Management Studies, Kristu Jyoti College of Management and Technology, organized CHRYSALIS 2K25 – Management Association Inauguration on 23 July 2025, with 129 participants, coordinated by Mr. Dileep P. V. The event featured an inaugural address by Rev. Dr. Joshy Cheeramkuzhy CMI, Principal, and was formally inaugurated by Mr. Manesh Milan, CEO of Milan Solar, who delivered an insightful session on entrepreneurship titled “Roots, Risks and Revenue.” The programme included an oath-taking ceremony, felicitation, and cultural performance. Participants found the session highly inspiring, and the event effectively enhanced students’ understanding of entrepreneurship, leadership, teamwork, and sustainable business practices.

Activity IV - Intellectual Property Right
The Post Graduate Department of Management Studies, in association with IQAC, Kristu Jyoti College of Management and Technology, organized a Seminar on Intellectual Property Rights on 5 August 2025, with 73 participants attending the offline session coordinated by Mr. Dileep Viswan. The programme was inaugurated by the Principal, Rev. Fr. Dr. Joshy George, and included a felicitation by Adv. Dr. Joseph Sam, Vice Principal. The keynote session was delivered by Mr. Krishnaraj S, Master Trainer at ICT Academy of Kerala, who provided valuable insights into patents, copyrights, trademarks, and the role of IPR in protecting innovations and fostering entrepreneurship. The session was interactive and enriched with real-life examples, making complex legal concepts easy to understand. Feedback from participants was highly positive, with students appreciating the clarity, relevance, and practical orientation of the seminar. Overall, the programme enhanced students’ awareness of intellectual property rights, encouraged them to safeguard their ideas, and strengthened their understanding of innovation, legal ownership, and ethical practices in the knowledge economy.

Activity V- Career Development
The Post Graduate Department of Management Studies, in association with IQAC, Kristu Jyoti College of Management and Technology, conducted a Seminar on Career Development on 20 September 2025 for 39 BBA Semester I students, coordinated by Mr. Christin Mathew. The session, held at Computer Lab II, was led by Mr. Vishnu Prasad, HR and CSR Manager at Srishti Innovative, who delivered an interactive talk on career planning and internship opportunities. The programme encouraged active student participation and provided insights into exploring diverse career paths, building professional experience, and understanding job market trends. A Q&A session at the end helped clarify students’ queries. Feedback was highly positive, with participants gaining a clear understanding of career development and planning. Overall, the session effectively helped students identify their interests and strengths, enhanced their awareness of opportunities, and motivated them to pursue meaningful internships, careers, and leadership experiences.


Charity Visit
The Post Graduate Department of Management Studies, Kristu Jyoti College of Management and Technology, Changanacherry, organized an Extension Activity – Charity Visit to JIMPIRE Ashabhavan Special School on 21 July 2025, attended by 53 students and 3 faculty members, coordinated by Ms. Liya Titto, Mr. Dileep P.V., and Mrs. Renju Alex. The visit, guided by Fr. Bijo Chacko, provided students with an opportunity to engage with the inmates through cultural performances and interactive sessions, while also presenting a donation to the institution. The programme, supported by Principal Rev. Dr. Joshy George CMI and Prof. Thomas Mathew, HOD of BBA, fostered empathy, social responsibility, and the spirit of giving among students. Feedback highlighted the meaningful experience, with participants gaining insights into the importance of charity, helping others, and cultivating humanitarian values. Overall, the activity strengthened students’ understanding of social responsibility and the significance of compassionate action in society.

The Post Graduate Department of Management Studies, Kristu Jyoti College of Management and Technology, organized an Extension Activity – Seminar on “Impact of Influencer Culture on Teenagers” on 28 October 2025, with 60 participants, coordinated by Mr. Dileep P. V. The programme was conducted by MA HRM Semester I students for Classes VIII and IX students of St. Anne’s G.H.S., Changanacherry, aiming to create awareness about the influence of social media on thoughts, behavior, and lifestyle. The session featured interactive discussions, relatable examples, and engaging activities that helped students understand both the positive and negative aspects of influencer culture and encouraged responsible digital usage. Feedback from both students and faculty was highly positive, appreciating the relevance, clarity, and interactive approach of the session. Overall, the programme enhanced participants’ awareness of social media influence, promoted critical thinking and responsible online behavior, while also strengthening communication skills of the presenters and fostering community engagement.


STUDENT EXCHANGE PROGRAMME
The Post Graduate Department of Management Studies at Kristu Jyoti College of Management & Technology (KJCMT), in collaboration with IQAC and Assumption Autonomous College, organized the JNAN SATSANG – Student Exchange Programme on 11 August 2025 at Assumption Autonomous College, Changanassery, on the theme “Intellectual Property Rights.” The programme featured welcome and presidential addresses, followed by an engaging technical session led by student presenters from KJCMT, offering key insights into IPR and its relevance in the modern business environment. Coordinated by faculty from both institutions, the event provided a valuable platform for academic collaboration, enhancing students’ understanding of IPR, communication skills, and inter-collegiate interaction. Participants appreciated the well-organized and informative sessions, while suggesting more case studies and extended duration for future programmes.

OBT
The Post Graduate Department of Management Studies conducted a two-day Outbound Training (OBT) – Experiential Learning Programme on 10 and 11 December 2025 at LEAD College (Autonomous), Palakkad, for 43 BBA Second Year students. Led by certified trainer Mr. Sijin T. C. and coordinated by faculty members, the programme focused on developing leadership, teamwork, communication and problem-solving skills through interactive activities and real-life challenges. The initiative enhanced students’ practical understanding of management concepts, boosted confidence and fostered collaboration, with participants appreciating the engaging and impactful learning experience.


Study Tour
The Post Graduate Department of Management Studies organized a two-day Study Tour for final-year M.A. HRM students on 3 and 4 October 2025 to Vagamon, with nine students participating under the coordination of Ms. Shemeema K.N. The programme aimed to provide experiential learning beyond the classroom by integrating academic insights with team-building and personal development activities in a natural setting. The tour facilitated the development of leadership, coordination, time management and interpersonal skills through group interactions and reflective sessions, while also strengthening team spirit and collaboration. Participants expressed high satisfaction, highlighting the tour as an enriching experience that effectively combined learning with engagement and creativity.

Marketing Plan Competition
The PG Department of Management Studies, Kristu Jyoti College of Management and Technology, Changanacherry, in association with IQAC, organized a Marketing Plan Competition on 16 December 2025 for BBA Semester II students, with 32 participants. Coordinated by Dr. Asha Elizabeth Kurian, the programme aimed to enhance students’ understanding of marketing concepts through practical application. Conducted in a group format, the competition encouraged teamwork, leadership, and effective communication as students developed and presented comprehensive marketing plans. The activity fostered creativity, analytical and strategic thinking, and a healthy competitive spirit, while also improving students’ confidence, problem-solving, and presentation skills, making it a highly engaging and beneficial learning experience.

Training and Development Programme
The Post Graduate Department of Management Studies, in association with the IQAC of Kristu Jyoti College of Management and Technology, Changanacherry, organized a Training and Development Programme – Trivia on 15 July 2025 from 09:15 AM to 11:00 AM at the Seminar Hall. Conducted as part of an induction programme, the session was coordinated by III Semester MA HRM students, with 21 final-year Geology students participating. The programme began with a welcome address by Ms. Aparna Suresh and was anchored by Ms. Jisha Joy. It featured interactive management games designed to enhance communication, leadership, reasoning, and critical thinking skills through a hands-on learning approach. Participants actively engaged in the activities, showing notable improvement in idea articulation, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. The session concluded with participant feedback, which reflected a clear understanding of management concepts and skill enhancement, followed by a vote of thanks by Ms. Aparna Suresh.

Student Induction Programme
The Post Graduate Department of Management Studies, Kristu Jyoti College of Management and Technology, in collaboration with IQAC, organized a Student Induction Programme on 25 July 2025 at 2:00 PM in the New Examination Hall, welcoming 44 first-year BBA students. The programme began with a prayer by Ms. Jaisy Elizabeth John, followed by a welcome address by Mr. Juwin Joe James and the presidential address by Rev. Fr. Dr. Joshy George CMI, Principal, who inspired students with his vision for academic excellence. The event featured cultural performances, including a solo performance by Ms. Febia Rachel and a dance by Ms. Gopika Sunil and team, creating an engaging atmosphere. Prof. Thomas Mathew, Head of the Department, delivered a felicitation highlighting the importance of holistic development, while Ms. Joice Thomas conducted an informative and interactive session on college policies, student responsibilities, and support systems, complemented by engaging activities. Coordinated by Ms. Renju Alex, Mr. Dileep Viswan, and Mr. Christin Mathew, the programme successfully familiarized students with the institutional environment and strengthened their managerial competencies such as problem-solving, decision-making, teamwork, and leadership through experiential learning. The session concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. Malavika, with participant feedback reflecting improved understanding, enhanced critical thinking, and increased confidence in applying theoretical knowledge to real-world scenarios.

FORGE – A Space to Connect and Reflect
The Post Graduate Department of Management Studies organized an interactive counselling session titled “FORGE – A Space to Connect and Reflect” on 29 January 2026 from 11:15 AM to 1:00 PM at the Seminar Hall, coordinated by second-year MA HRM students under the guidance of Ms. Kesiya Mariam Benoy, with 27 final-year Geology students participating. Designed as an experiential learning initiative aligned with SDG Goal 4 (Quality Education), the session aimed to enhance the counselling, facilitation, and professional competencies of MA HRM students while providing meaningful support to participants. Students were grouped into teams—Gold, Diamond, Lead, and Uranium—and engaged in structured activities, reflective discussions, and one-on-one interactions guided by student facilitators, creating a safe space to share academic, personal, and career-related concerns. The session emphasized empathy, active listening, and practical counselling techniques, resulting in improved self-awareness, confidence, teamwork, and peer connection among participants. Feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with students appreciating the supportive and engaging environment, while MA HRM facilitators gained valuable hands-on experience in counselling and facilitation, making the programme both impactful and professionally enriching.

Poster Making Competition - International Men’s Day
The Post Graduate Department of Management Studies, in association with IQAC, organized an Inter-Department Poster Making Competition on 21 November 2025 at 2:00 PM in the Old Examination Hall as part of the observance of International Men’s Day, under the coordination of Mr. Ronnie Mathew Idicula. The event aimed to promote awareness about men’s roles, health, well-being, and societal contributions while encouraging student creativity. A total of 22 students participated, creating posters based on the theme “Redefining Masculinity,” which were evaluated on creativity, relevance, clarity, and presentation. The competition began with an introduction highlighting the significance of the day, followed by clear guidelines for participants. Students showcased thoughtful and impactful ideas addressing men’s mental health, gender equality, and social responsibility. Riya Anitt (BCA S4 Batch 1) secured the first prize, while Abel Malayil (B.Sc Psychology S4 Batch 2) won the second prize. The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation and successfully fostered critical thinking, creative expression, and inter-departmental interaction, with outcomes reflecting strong conceptual understanding and the ability to convey meaningful messages visually.


HR Day Observation
The Post Graduate Department of Management Studies, in association with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Kristu Jyoti College of Management and Technology, organized an HR Day Observation on 29 September 2025 at Room No. 605 for first-year MA HRM students. Coordinated by Ms. Kesiya Mariam Benoy, Assistant Professor, the session was facilitated by Ms. Tia Clarice Jose, a second-year MA HRM student, who conducted an engaging and interactive programme combining a PowerPoint presentation with experiential learning activities. The session aimed to develop essential HR competencies such as teamwork, communication, leadership, adaptability, and trust-building by bridging theoretical knowledge with practical application. Activities including “Speak Up and Speak Out,” the “Cup Pyramid Game,” and “Two Truths and One Lie” encouraged students to enhance public speaking, problem-solving, collaboration, and interpersonal skills in a dynamic environment. Participants appreciated the activity-based approach, noting improved confidence, stronger peer connections, and a clearer understanding of HR concepts in practice. Overall, the programme successfully fostered teamwork, strengthened communication abilities, and provided valuable insights into real-world HR functions, contributing to both personal and professional development of the students.

Activity1 - Professional Ethics Industry to Campus Alumni Interaction
The Post Graduate Department of Management Studies, in association with IQAC at Kristu Jyoti College of Management and Technology, Changanacherry, organized an Alumni Interaction on 16 October 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Room No. 607. The session was led by alumna Ms. Chrisma Mariam Benoy, Customer Relations Executive at MM Publications, Kottayam, with 37 first-semester BBA students in attendance. The interactive session focused on sales and marketing work life and modern customer relationship management (CRM) practices, supported by engaging presentations and active student participation. The resource person also highlighted current job opportunities and addressed student queries through a Q&A session. The program enabled students to gain practical insights into CRM practices and the job market, develop a professional outlook, and explore opportunities for internships, training, and networking.




IGNITE 2025
The PG Department of Management, Kristu Jyoti College of Management and Technology, organized the Inter-School Management Fest “IGNITE 2025” on 23 September 2025, with an impressive participation of 402 students from 18 schools across Kerala, coordinated by Mr. Dileep P. V. The event commenced with a formal inaugural ceremony featuring a prayer, welcome address, and presidential address by Rev. Fr. Dr. Joshy George CMI, followed by the official inauguration by Chief Guest Rev. Fr. Dr. Thomas Kallukalam CMI, who inspired students to channel their potential towards professional excellence and social responsibility. The programme also included engaging cultural performances, adding vibrancy to the event. IGNITE 2025 served as a dynamic platform for students to develop key managerial and interpersonal skills through a variety of competitive events that fostered strategic thinking, problem-solving, teamwork, communication, creativity, and digital proficiency. The fest received highly positive feedback, particularly for its large-scale participation and energetic atmosphere, successfully promoting holistic development, competitive spirit, and leadership among participants.
