Add on Course

The Post Graduate Department of Social Work offered an Add-On Certificate Course titled “Language Skill Enhancement” for MSW Second Year students during the academic year 2025–2026. The course commenced in August 2025 and was designed to strengthen students’ language proficiency and communication competencies essential for professional social work practice. 

The duration of the course was 45 hours, structured to enhance listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills, with special emphasis on professional communication, documentation, presentation skills, and interpersonal effectiveness. A total number of MSW Second Year students enrolled for the course, and all registered students actively participated and successfully completed the programme.

Teaching–learning methods included interactive lectures, role plays, group discussions, presentations, and practical language exercises to ensure active student engagement and skill development. A structured syllabus was prepared by subject experts and approved by the Academic Council prior to implementation.

Certificates were issued to students based on performance and attendance upon successful completion of the course. The Add-On Course significantly contributed to improving students’ communication confidence, professional readiness, and employability skills, thereby supporting their academic growth and future career advancement in the field of social work.
