1. The psychology of relationship- understanding human needs
Course code: KJCMT/PSY/PRUHN04/2023-2024

The post graduate department of psychology offered an add on course named “PSYCHOLOGY OF RELATIONSHIPS AND UNDERSTANDING THE HUMAN NEEDS” for batch 1 and 2 of B.Sc. Psychology semester 1 students. The course commenced on 10th August 2023 and came to closure by 8th September 2023. In order to complete the course and meet the requirements, 30 hours were invested. The total of 92 students from both batch 1 and 2 enrolled out of which 92 successfully completed the course. The sessions were led by the convenor of the course Ms.Gayathri Devi J S, Assistant Professor, Kristu Jyoti College of Management and Technology. With the use of power point and smart classroom technology, the sessions incorporate lectures, debates, and assignments that helps to make the course more engaging and intelligible. Both batches were taught independently, and combined classes were also held to give the students an opportunity to express their ideas and attitudes towards the topic.
2. Psychology of crime

The Post Graduate Department of Psychology conducted an Add-on course for the Third-year students of BSc. Psychology (2021-24). The course commenced on 7th September 2023 and came to closure by 30th October 2023, completing the 30 hrs of classes allotted according to the course syllabus. 76 Students from BSc. Psychology (2021-24) batch enrolled and successfully completed the course. The classes were led by the convenor Ms. Sneha Ann Sunil, Assistant Professor, Post graduate Department of Psychology, Kristu Jyoti College of Management and Technology. E- Certificates were issued to the students. The objective of the course was to understand nature, scope and history of Criminal Psychology, to learn the role of forensic Psychologists, the psychologists in the court, eyewitness testimony and false confession as the central issue in Criminal Psychology, to learn the methods of the offender profiling in different stages and to get orientation of modern profiling techniques.
3. Psychology of Women

The Post Graduate Department of Psychology conducted an Add-on course for the second-year students of BSc. Psychology (2022-25). The course commenced on 10th July 2023 and came to closure by 27st July 2023, completing the 30 hrs of classes allotted according to the course syllabus. 80 Students from BSc. Psychology (2022-25) batch enrolled and successfully completed the course. The classes were led by the convenor Ms Jilu Mary Luke. Asst Professor KJCMT. The objective of the course was to familiarize with the physiological and the psychological aspects of women’s health, to evaluate the gender stereotypes prevailing in the society and to understand the basic physiological and psychological nature of female sexuality.
