In the dynamic landscape of higher education, colleges are increasingly recognizing the importance of fostering entrepreneurship and innovation among their students. Central to this endeavors are incubation cells specialized units within colleges dedicated to nurturing and supporting student startups. The integration of incubation cell into college ecosystems reflects a paradigm shift in the way institution’s approach to entrepreneurship education. As the demand for practical hands-on learning experience grows, our college is leveraging our resources to provide students with the tools and support needed to transform their ideas into viable ventures. Incubation cells serve as catalyst for innovation, bridging the gap between academic learning and real – world entrepreneurship.

1. Fostering entrepreneurial culture – By promoting creativity, risk taking and problem solving the cell inspire students to think entrepreneurially and pursue innovative ventures.
2. Supporting student ventures – Help students to explore news business ideas, developing prototypes or launching starts ups.
3. Facilitating interdisciplinary collaboration- By bringing together students, faculty members industry experts, and alumni from diverse academic backgrounds, these cells create fertile ground for cross disciplinary innovation.
4. Promoting social impact and sustainability – Through ventures focused on renewable energy, health care, education or social enterprise, incubation cells inspire students to harness their entrepreneurial skills for the greater good.
1. Provide guidance, mentorship and resources to help students navigate the entrepreneurial journey from conceptualization to market launch.
2. Offer physical infrastructure and access to resources.
3. Offer mentorship programs to help students to refine their business strategies.
4. Provide opportunities for students to network with fellow entrepreneurs, investors, industry professionals and alumni.
5. Offer entrepreneurship education programs, workshops and training sessions to equip students with skills and knowledge.
6. To create a supportive ecosystem for entrepreneurship within the college community, by bringing together students, faculty, alumni, investors and other stakeholders.

Activity I
Business Incubation Cell Inauguration
Business Incubation Centers (BICs) within college campuses have emerged as powerful catalysts for fostering entrepreneurship and innovation. These centers serve as dynamic hubs where aspiring student entrepreneurs can transform their ideas into viable and successful businesses. The integration of BICs into college environments not only nurtures entrepreneurial spirit but also contributes significantly to the local economy and job creation.
Business Incubation Centre of Kristu Jyoti College of Management and Technology, Changanacherry, was inaugurated on December 12, 2023 by Rev. Dr. Joshy Cheeramkuzhy, Principal, Kristu Jyoti College of Management and Technology. After the inauguration, Dr. Joshy Cheeramkuzhy delivered a speech on the necessity of innovations and business among students. All he heads of Departments and selected students from each class were present. Room no. 303 was allocated for BIC and an exhibition of various products made by students conducted on that day.
Business Incubation Centers in colleges serve as crucial incubators for cultivating a new generation of innovative and entrepreneurial leaders. These centers empower students to turn their ideas into reality, contributing not only to their personal growth but also to the economic and technological development of the society at large. As colleges continue to embrace and expand the role of BICs, the impact on the entrepreneurial landscape is likely to be profound, shaping a future driven by innovation and sustainable business practices.
Activity II
Home Made Food Fest
The Business Incubation Cell in association with IQAC of Kristu Jyoti College of Management and Technology, Changanaserry organised a program titled “Home Made Food Fest” on 8th February 2024 at 11 am. The goal of the programme was to provide an opportunity to the students to showcase their culinary skills and business acumen. Students from various departments of the college exhibited their skills without any hestitation. The items presented by the students included dream cakes, unni-appams, chicken samosas and buttermilk drink.
Activity III
Exclusive sale of handmade products by students
The Business Incubation Cell in association with IQAC of Kristu Jyoti College of Management and Technology, Changanaserry organised a program titled “Exclusive sale of handmade products by students” on 1st March 2024 at 11 am at Room No.303. The goal of the programme was to provide an opportunity to students for selling their own hand made products. Most Students from various departments of the college were able to showcase their handmade products and sell their products with a marginal profit. The sale witnessed a total of 61 participants
Activity I
Workshop on Organic Liquid Soap Making
Post Graduate Department of Commerce in association with IQAC of Kristu Jyoti College of Management and Technology, organised Workshop on Organic Liquid Soap Making on 6th February 2025 .The programme began with a prayer song by class choir and thereafter the welcome address delivered by Ms.Devija Anilkumar Student Representative. The programme was inaugurated by Dr .Thomaskutty M.O, HOD of Commerce Department. The Resource person handled the session in an engaging and interesting manner. The instructor explained the process in a simple and clear manner,made it easy for everyone to understand and participate. The programme ends with the vote of thanks delivered by Ms.Grace Susan Rajan , Student Representative.
Activity II
Handmade Wonders: Craft Sale and Exhibition
The Business Incubation Cell in association with IQAC of Kristu Jyoti College of Management and Technology, Changanaserry organised a program titled “Handmade Wonders: Craft Sale and Exhibition” on 6th March 2025at 10 am. The goal of the programme was to provide an opportunity to the students to showcase their craft skills and business acumen. Students from various departments of the college exhibited their skills without any hestitation. The items presented by the students included wall decorations, tabletop accessories, daily utilities and toys etc.
Activity III
Work shop on Organic Soap Making
Business Incubation Cell of Kristu Jyoti College of Management and Technology, in association with IQAC organised a Workshop on Organic Soap Making on 10th January 2025 .The programme began with a prayer song by class choir and thereafter the welcome address delivered by Ms.Devija Anilkumar Student Representative. Flavours of Home: Home made food fest by students
The Business Incubation Cell in association with IQAC of Kristu Jyoti College of Management and Technology, Changanaserry organised a program titled “Flavours of Home: Home made food fest” on 27th February 2025 at 11 am at Colloquy. The goal of the programme was to provide an opportunity to students for selling their own food products. Most Students from various departments of the college were able to showcase their cuisines and sell their products with a marginal profit. The sale witnessed a total of 174 participants
