SEMINAR ON PROFESSIONAL ETHICS
The Commerce department of our college organized a Professional Ethics Session on 08/01/2026 (2:40pm - 3:30pm) for the students of B.Com Computer Application Batch 02 Semester 06. The session aimed at the objective of creating awareness about ethical values and professional conduct required in today’s competitive corporate and technological environment. The workshop was led by Ms. Sandra Babu Assistant Professor with extensive experience. The session helped the students to acquire informative knowledge about ethical values. The session focused on the concept and importance of professional ethics in business and computer application fields.

GENDER EQUITY PROGRAMME- EMPOWER EQUITY
The Post Graduate Department of Commerce at Kristu Jyoti College of Management and Technology hosted a "Gender Equity Programme" on July 17, 2025, at 1:45 PM in Room No. 801. The program's core theme was "Empower Equity," aiming to deepen understanding of gender equity, distinguishing it from mere equality. Ms. Anu Mercy Zachariah served as the Resource Person, guiding the session and providing insights on the topic. The initiative was designed to raise awareness and foster discussions on gender equity, reflecting Kristu Jyoti College's commitment to both academic and social development. The program likely explored the nuanced differences between equality and equity, promoting the idea of providing tailored support to achieve fair outcomes for all.

Gender Equity Programme- Workshop On Home Chef
Under IQAC, the Post Graduate Department of Commerce organizes a Gender Equity Programme on 21st February 2023 between 12.15 pm and 1.15 pm for the male students of B.Com Finance and Taxation Batch- II and B.Com Computer Applications Batch II (Second Semester). Mr. Jeffin M Reji was the resource person. Through the session the boys were able to understand and reflect on the role of females in the society and how boys should also play a role in understanding the obstacles & struggles faced by people around. The Session was a beneficial one for the boys.

SEMINAR ON HUMAN RIGHTS
The Post Graduate Department of Commerce at Kristu Jyoti College of Management & Technology successfully hosted a seminar on Human Rights, aligning with the global objective of Sustainable Development Goal 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions. The seminar commenced promptly at 2:00 PM in the college's Seminar Hall, drawing attendees from various disciplines within the institution. The event's central theme, "Let's Stop Discrimination," underscored the college's commitment to fostering a more inclusive and equitable society. The seminar featured Adv. Dr. Joseph Sam, the esteemed Vice Principal of Kristu Jyoti College of Management and Technology, as the resource person.

Anti -Drug awareness Programme
On November 3 rd 2023, the Post Graduate Department of Commerce, in collaboration with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Kristu Jyoti College of Management and Technology (KCMT), organized an Anti –Drug Awareness Class for B.com Computer applications sem -1 students. The occasion aimed to raise awareness and educate the undergraduate students about the pressing issue of drug abuse and illicit trafficking .The event featured a compelling invited talk by Mr. Rajesh R, a distinguished Civil Excise Officer from the Excise Range Office in Changanacherry. The talk took place at the Seminar Hall of KCMT, commencing at 2:pm am and concluding at 3:30 pm. Mr. Rajesh R shared valuable insights and experiences, shedding light on the grave consequences of drug abuse and the importance of curbing illicit trafficking .Total 61 students participated in the class.
