The Postgraduate Department of Commerce organized a Debate Competition on 29 September 2025, coordinated by Mr. Vishnu E. S., with the active participation of 11 students. The event witnessed enthusiastic engagement as participants presented well-researched arguments both in favor of and against the impact of Artificial Intelligence, covering key aspects such as productivity, ethical concerns, employment implications, and its transformative influence on education and business. The session was marked by healthy competition, critical analysis, and evidence-based reasoning, with participants evaluated on content, delivery, clarity, and rebuttal skills. The programme received highly positive feedback for its relevance, organization, and the platform it provided for expressing diverse perspectives on a contemporary issue. Overall, the competition enhanced students’ understanding of Artificial Intelligence, strengthened their critical thinking, communication, and presentation skills, encouraged research and analytical abilities, fostered teamwork and collaboration, built confidence, and contributed to the promotion of quality education in alignment with Sustainable Development Goal 4
