Post-Graduate Department of Psychology, Kristu Jyoti College of Management and Technology, established in 2014offer Bachelor Degree in Psychology (BSc Psychology) with a prima facie perspicacious vision to meet the contemporary demand for Psychologists in the HealthCare Management, Corporate – Industry, Education, and Mental Wellness. We ensure the implementation of the course with utmost care to contribute the existing knowledge bank in psychological sciences with an integrated and interdisciplinary approach

VISION

            Train the Psychology Scholars with integrated and interdisciplinary approach, enrich them through research, training and varieties of knowledge dissemination processes to address various psychosocial and developmental issues prevailing in our society under the supervision and guidance of eminent academicians and scholars.

• To provide a holistic learning aided through experienced academic lectures, classroom activities, laboratory experiments, field experience, and virtual classroom learning. supported with modern technologies and e-learning
• Enrich the students through research, training and varieties of knowledge dissemination processes to address various psychosocial and developmental issues 

OBJECTIVES

The course was designed with predetermined objectives as mentioned below,

1	To enable the Students to acquire sufficient knowledge in the area of counseling in order to apply in various walks of life.
2	To develop abilities for adaptive and positive behavior, that enables individuals to deal effectively with the demands and challenges of everyday life.
3	To provide basic training in planning and conducting a psychological experiment
4	To acquaint the students with the symptoms of childhood disorders, substance dependence and neurocognitive disorders
5	To familiarize with psychological instruments and tools To generate interest in the analysis of psychological data
6	Empirical research to be done using the principles of research methodology and statistics.

ADMISSION PROCEDURE 

The student seeking admission for the course should submit the Application form duly filled in the college office. The application form can be bought from the college office by paying a fee of Rs.500/-or can be downloaded from the college website.
