BCA

This is an undergraduate program where students are exposed to various areas of computer applications including the latest developments keeping pace with the industry.

  The BCA Programme is designed with the following specific objectives.
a.  To attract young minds to the potentially rich & employable field of computer applications.
b. To be a foundation graduate programme which will act as a feeder course for higher studies in the   area of  Computer Science/Applications.
c. To develop skills in software development so as to enable the BCA graduates to take up self-       employment in Indian & global software market.
d. To Train & Equip the students to meet the requirement of the Industrial standards.
e.  To demonstrate a sound knowledge in key areas of computer science or industrial computing. To   develop sound practical skills to enable them to addressing problems which arise from computer   applications.

Admission Procedure :
The student seeking admission for the BCA course should submit the Application form duly filled in the college office. The application form can be bought from the college office by paying a fee of Rs.500/-or can be downloaded from the website.

Duration of the Course :
The course shall extend over a period of three academic years consisting of six semesters.

Course :
The curriculum of the BCA programme is designed in such a way to equip students to be competent professionals with a strong theoretical foundation as well as practical. Each semester have lab courses.

The first semester comprises foundation courses on BCA as a profession and related disciplines such as Mathematics, statistics, programming.

The second semester and third semester has courses on computer organization, structures, data storage, programming etc.

The fourth semester has both general courses as well as specialization courses. The general courses include courses on an operating system, Linux and shell programming, PHP. The curriculum also has foundation courses on operations research. 

The fifth semester has advance courses on software project management, programming, Java programming. The students begin with their  software project in this semester. The semester also has one course as specializations. The students will submit and present a seminar on topics related to current development in the industry. Also the students will submit their student software projects in this semester. In this semester the students will be provided with placement training to enhance their soft skills and academic skills so that they become competent to face the placement test and interviews within and outside the campus.
The sixth semester the students will undergo training  for submitting their final project report.
