The Department of English, KCMT in association with IQAC has organized an extension programme “Reach to Teach” on 05 December, 2022. "The art of teaching is the art of assisting discovery" The students Ms Jissa Mariam Wilson and Ms Ninoshka Sara Shiju of sem 6 BA English of Kristu Jyoti College went to Mount Bethany Public School, Kumbazha, Pathanamthitta as student teachers and interacted with the grade 6A and 7A students as part of outreach programme. The student teachers were very enthusiastic in teaching basic arithmetic and language to school students. They adopted various teaching strategies ranging from brainstorming to microteaching. The student teachers used various teaching aids to make the classes interactive and engaging. The students enjoyed the classes and found the class activities interactive.
ACTIVITY II :
The Department of English, KCMT in association with IQAC has organized a public opinion poll on social justice on Friday ,17th February ,2023. The students of BA English semester VI have actively coordinated this social outreach programme. The students posed many critical and thought provoking questions to the public. The public has come up with sensible answers and was really an eye opening session for the students as well.

ACTIVITY I :
On August 11, 2023, the Semester 5 students of the English Department undertook an Industrial Visit. The programme was organised to provide students with practical exposure to various aspects of culture, nature, and art. The trip included visits to Poovar Mangrove Backwaters, Kerala Arts and Crafts Village, Kovalam, and Kovalam Beach, Trivandrum.
