Short Story writing Competition
Post Graduate Department of Psychology in association with IQAC organized Short Story Writing Competition- interdepartmental on 22nd September 2022 , at 2:00 pm. Mr. Arunkumar B (Asst. Professor KCMT) was the Judges for the competition. A total of 24 participants took part in the competition which included students of various departments mainly, postgraduate department of Commerce, Post graduate department of Computer Application, Post Graduate department of Psychology, and Department of Management Studies. Ms. Jewel Elsa Alex was the moderator of the competition. Ms. Shiny Antony from the BBA department won the first prize and Mr. Al Ameen TJ, BCom and Ms. Sruthi S Nair, MA HRM won the Second and Third prize.
RJ HUNT - Interdepartmental RJ competition
Post Graduate Department of Psychology in association with IQAC organised RJ HUNT- inter-departmental RJ Competition on 05th January 2023. Ms. Cina Mathew (Asst. Professor, KCMT) and Mr. Jefin M Reji (Counselor, KCMT) were the Judges for the competition . The RJ competition was conducted in 2 levels in which the initial 45 contestants were given a preliminary selection round. 15 finalists were selected for the final round in which they were presented with a topic and given 3 minutes to prepare and present it. Ms. Alita Mariam won the title of RJ KCMT. Special appreciation award was presented to Mr. Dhanup Radhakrishnan.
INTERDEPARTMENT COMPETITION- PROBLEM SOLVING CHALLENGE
Post Graduate Department of Psychology in association with IQAC of Kristu Jyoti College of Management and Technology, Changanacherry organised an interdepartmental competition- problem solving challenge on 5th October 2023, at 10.00 a.m. Total of 49 participants from all departments were took part. The first prize was bagged by Sreyas Kumar, B.com CA2. The second position was bagged by Bevy Jacob Koshy, B.Sc. Geology Semester 1 and third position by Sebin Thomas MCA Semester 3. Students who have won the competition were awarded with the cash prize.
INTERDEPARTMENT COMPETITION
The Post Graduate Department of Psychology in association with IQAC of Kristu Jyoti College of Management and Technology, Changanacherry organised an Inter Departmental Competition named Blindfolded Talk on 16th August, 2024. The programme was coordinated by B. Sc. Psychology students of semester 3 batch 1. Blindfolded Talk is a communication exercise where participants wear blindfolds to focus solely on verbal interactions. It aims to enhance listening skills, empathy, and clarity in communication by removing visual cues, which forces participants to rely on tone, emotion, and word choice. The participants were very much excited as it was a new concept and they enjoyed the programme a lot. It was a very interesting programme for them. They were very active throughout the programme and shared their opinion with the audience in front of them without seeing the audience as they were blindfolded. The programme was organised in order to enhance listening skills, empathy, and clarity in communication by removing visual cues, which forces participants to rely on tone, emotion, and word choice. It aimed at observing how well a person can communicate without seeing the audience in front of them.
2. Craft Making Competition with Newspaper
The PG Department of Psychology Kristu Jyoti College of Management & Technology in Chethipuzha organized a Craft Making Competition with Newspaper on 11th September 2024. The event was conducted by the Postgraduate Department of Psychology in association with the IQAC and was led by the First Year B.Sc Psychology students (Semester I, Batch I). The event, with its theme "Together for a better world," saw enthusiastic participation, reflecting the students' dedication to both artistic expression and environmental consciousness. The creative displays were a clear demonstration of their innovation and commitment to sustainable practices. The programme was a great success, combining artistic expression with social responsibility, and it left a lasting impact on both the participants and the audience. The competition encourages participants to think creatively and utilize available resources like newspapers to create innovative crafts, enhancing their problem-solving and design-thinking skills. Moreover, By focusing on crafting with newspapers, the event promotes eco-friendly practices and raises awareness about recycling and sustainability, aligning with the global initiative for environmental preservation.
