Students’ Wing of IQAC in KJCMT aims to create awareness about standards initiated by the IQAC among the entire student community.

The objective of Students’ Wing of IQAC is to ensure that students cope up with quality standards at different levels. It also confirms that the students get tuned to a set of standards for overall development in all spheres related to academics.

Two representatives from each class (I boy and 1 girl) are selected, totaling to 78 students. A student coordinator is selected from among these representatives. A staff member is assigned the charge as teacher coordinator. Meeting of Students’ Wing is held at least once in a month to assess whether quality related policies and procedures initiated by IQAC reach the entire student community. After each meeting, quality related matters discussed is shared by each representative in respective class.

The third meeting of the IQAC Students' Wing was convoked on September 21, 2023.

Ms. Irene Joseph (Assistant Professor in Psychology) and Ms. Shincy K. Kurian (Assistant Professor in Commerce) were the resource persons.

The topics discussed include:

Resource mobilisation for research, ecosystem for innovations, initiatives for the creation and transfer of knowledge, various extension and outreach activities carried out in the neighbourhood community, sensitising to social issues for holistic development, and different skill trainings and collaborations for faculty and student exchange.  ICT infrastructure and physical facilities; library automation using the Integrated Library Management System as a learning resource; and various clubs and cells initiated on campus. The elaborative and well-explained presentation aided greatly in comprehending the topics discussed.
