Kristu Jyoti College celebrated Merit Day on June 3, 2023, at 11 a.m., to honour the rank holders and A plus holders for their exceptional academic achievements in the MG University exams. The event began with a soulful prayer song performed by the staff choir, creating a peaceful and uplifting atmosphere.
Dr. Varghese Antony, Vice Principal, KCMT, welcomed all attendees, including distinguished guests, faculty members, students, and honorees. He expressed his gratitude for their valuable presence and emphasized the importance of the occasion in honouring academic excellence. The Presidential address was delivered by Rev. Dr. Thomas Kallukalam, Manager, Kristu Jyoti Group of Institutions, who enlightened the audience on the value of accomplishments and merits in life.
Mr. Thomaskutty M O, the Course Coordinator, PG Department of Commerce, presented the results analysis, providing insights into the remarkable accomplishments of the rank holders and A plus holders. His comprehensive analysis shed light on the dedication and hard work of the students.
Adv. Job Michael, MLA Changanassery, was present as the esteemed guest to felicitate the awardees. His presence elevated the event, and he congratulated the students on their outstanding achievements, inspiring them to strive for excellence in their academic and professional endeavours. In recognition of their tireless efforts, the rank holders and A Plus holders were given awards and certificates.
Ms. Archana, Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce, graced the occasion with her musical talents, entertaining the audience with melodious tunes. Her performance added a touch of beauty to the event, making it even more memorable
Prof. Harikrishnan P, Syndicate Member, MG University, took the stage to express words of appreciation for the meritorious students. He acknowledged the hard work of the students, emphasizing the significance of their achievements in the broader academic community.
Rev. Fr. Joshy Cheeramkuzhy CMI, Principal, Kristu Jyoti College, conveyed his message to the audience, emphasizing the importance of nurturing a passion for learning and fostering a spirit of excellence. He encouraged the students to use their skills and knowledge to make a positive impact in their chosen fields.
A memento was presented as a token of love and appreciation to Adv. Job Michael for his valuable presence and support. The gesture symbolized the gratitude and respect the institution held for the dignitary.
Ms. Anjitha Raj and her team captivated the audience with a mesmerising dance performance. Their graceful movements and coordinated choreography earned them applause.
Mr. Roji Thomas, the Head of the Department of Computer Applications, extended heartfelt wishes and gratitude to the awardees. He congratulated them on their accomplishments, recognising their exceptional abilities and perseverance.
Ms. Fathima Shibu, the first rank holder in B.Com. CA, and Ms. Megha Rebecca George, the first rank holder in BBA, MG University exams 2023, shared their valuable experiences about life at KCMT. Their dedication and hard work served as an inspiration to all present.
Ms. Aditya Prasad and her team of BCA students delivered an energetic and captivating dance performance, showcasing their talent and adding a vibrant touch to the celebration.
Ms Sunanda Rajagopal, Assistant Professor, PG Department of Computer Applications, delivered the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of the event. She acknowledged the organizers, guests, faculty, and students for their active participation and support.
The Merit Day celebration concluded on a high note, leaving the audience filled with a sense of pride and inspiration. The event not only honoured the achievements of the meritorious students but also motivated others to strive for academic excellence.
