The Opening Day ceremony at KristuJyoti College of Management & Technology was conducted on 18th July 2018 at Kristujyoti Auditorium. The day’s chief guest was His Grace Dr.Geevarghese Mor Coorilose, Metropolitan of Niranam Diocese. The general conveners were Ms. Sherry Reetha Anoty & Mr.Christin Mathew, The first-year students of all departments and their parents enthusiastically participated in the program. The formal function started at 10.00 AM with the prayer song by the staff choir. The words of welcome was given by Rev. Fr. JoshyCheeramkuzhy CMI, Principal, KJCMT. Rev Fr Martin Thayyil CMI, Director, Kristujyoti group of institutions has delivered the Presidential Address. The event was officially inaugurated by Rev. His Grace Dr.Geevarghese Mor Coorilose who enlightened the audience with his motivating message. After that, the students of KristuJyoti College recited verses from the Holy Bible, Holy Quran, and Sri Bhagavat Gita. Rev.Fr. Martin Thayyil CMI, Director KJ Group& Principal KristuJyotiVidyaNiketandedicated the institution to the sacred heart of Jesus. The next event was the Homage to the founder, St. Kuriakose Elias Chavara. He was the co-founder and first prior general of the first congregation for men in the Syro Malabar Catholic church now known as the Carmelites of Mary Immaculate, CMI. Mr.Binu Abraham paid homage to the founder. Chief Guest of the day his Grace Rev. Dr. His Grace Dr.Geevarghese Mor Coorilose lighted the candle from the burning lamp and ignited the candles of the representatives of the students. The Heads of various departments then passed the flame to the rest of the students. After candle lighting, the chief guest blessed the new members of the KRISTU JYOTI COLLEGE family. Rev. Fr. JoshyCheeramkuzhyCMI, Principal, KristuJyoti College presented a memento as a token of love and respect to the chief guest His Grace Dr.Mathews MorAntheemos. On that blessed day, Rev. Fr. Chacko Manackal CMI, Bursar,KristuJyoti group released the annual newsletter of the college. The next event was Ms.S.Sameera (Civil Service Exam Rank Holder) experience about their relevant field.Rev. Fr. JoshyCheeramkuzhy CMI welcomed the new members to the KRISTU JYOTI family by giving rose flowers to the representatives of fresher students from each batch. The remaining students received the floral token from the Heads of the respective departments. The official function concluded with a VOTE OF THANKS by Dr. Varghese Antony, Vice Principal, KristuJyoti College. The program became more effective with the cultural programs conducted by the students of KCMT. The various dance performances and musical events cheered the audience. The program concluded with the Orientation and result analysis given by Mr. Thomaskutty M.O, Course Co-ordinator, Post Graduate Department of Commerce. The program ended with the National Anthem.

Tomy Elavunkal CMI, Director of Kristu Jyoti Group of Institutions, inaugurated the ceremony and blessed the student community by his exuberant words and prayers. The program was conducted as per the given schedule. There was an orientation session and result analysis for the new degree and PG students. This session includes an introduction to the college's policies, procedures, campus facilities, and resources. Also, there was an inspirational session of University rank holder and video presentations of alumni to motivate students as they embark on their academic journey. The ceremony also celebrated the rich cultural diversity of the college community through captivating performances by students showcasing various talents such as music and dance. These performances not only entertained the audience but also highlighted the vibrant and inclusive nature of the college environment. The official function concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Varghese Antony, Vice Principal, Kristu Jyoti College leaving the attendees with a sense of anticipation and eagerness for the academic year ahead.
