Webinar – Career Guidance Session – CAREER FOCUS
The Department of Management Studies of Kristu Jyoti college of Management and Technology conducted a career guidance class titled-“CAREER FOCUS” which was held on 9th October, Friday 2020 from 7PM to 8PM via google meet .The class was handled by Mr Sajeesh Varkey, a career guidance expert and higher secondary school teacher of MES college, Mampad. The orientation gave insights about various career options available to the BBA and Bcom graduates. He empazhised the various opportunities available in UPSC, PSC and other corporate companies’. More than 87 students joined the session and the meeting ended at 8PM.

WEBINAR- OPPORTUNITIES AND CAREER PROSPECTS - CMA US
A webinar on Opportunities and Career Prospects with US CMA was organized by International Skill Development Organisation (ISDC) in association with Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) and Kristu Jyoti College of Management and Technology, Changanacherry on January 20, 2021. The webinar was conducted to create awareness among students regarding the job opportunities and salary package after completing US CMA
(Certified Management Accountants), which is an advanced professional certification designed to measure the critical accounting and financial management skills. The webinar was attended by a total of 188 students from the Department of Management and Commerce. The webinar was headed by Mr. Fenil Vadakken ( Manager, Relationship Development India, IMA ) and Mr.Sharath Venugopal( Regional Head Institutional Partnerships, Kerala, ISDC). The webinar began as an interactive session during which CMA program structure, coaching for US CMA exam through ISDC team, CMA exam pattern, study materials required and career options after CMA was explained in detail. ISDC team then concluded the webinar by a question and answer session which encouraged the students to share their thoughts and doubts on the course. As a whole the webinar turned out to be very informative and enriching.
Activity II
CAREER DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME
On 23rd March, a career development programme was conducted in Kristu Jyoti College of Management and Technology by MAAC that focused on creating awareness among students about the various courses offered by the academy and its relevance in the job market.
The programme began as an interactive session following which the students were encouraged to share aspirations and voice their thoughts on the courses offered by them.
The courses offered by them include:
1) visual effects (VFX)
2) Animation
3) Graphic designing
5) Interior Designing
6) Web Designing
7) Gaming
The Programme was attended by 60 students from Department of Management and the event was conducted by Mr. SREEJITH MONI
The Programme enabled the students to understand the salary structure of jobs available and how each of the courses were beneficial for achieving those jobs.
Activity I
Seminar- Career Development
On the 26th of October,2022 the Post Graduate Department of Management Studies in association with Placement Cell and IQAC of Kristu Jyothi College of Management and Technology conducted a seminar on career development in order to motivate and shed some light on the various career options and also to broaden the job-oriented perspectives of the students. The seminar was conducted in the seminar hall between 2.00 to 4.00p.m. The awareness programme was organised with Rev.Fr.Joshy Cheeramkuzhy CMI positioned as the chief patron, Prof. Thomas Mathew headed as the convener and Mr. Christin Mathew leading as the staff coordinator. The master of the ceremony, Ish Priya Jolly of M.A HRM semester 1 gracefully handled the session from the start to the end. The session started of with a prayer song which was sung by Sona and Aiswarya of M.A HRM semester 1. It was further followed by the words of welcome conveyed by Vaishnavi Jayakumar from M.A HRM semester 1. With much delight the chief guest of honour, Mr. Bineesh B Nair, Center Director SMEG EDULABS was cordially welcomed to address the student gathering. He enriched the students about the ample amount of career opportunities. In addition, he enlightened the student community on the various paths they can pursue to achieve their goals and targets. The students were kept in high focus throughout the session as the resource person knocked several important inputs into their young carefree minds and he winded up by laying emphasis on the various competitive examinations and the eligibility required to appear for them. It was really inspiring and informative which showered much insights into the young minds. The career development programme was wrapped up by Devika S Panicker of BBA semester 3 extending the vote of thanks to all those who worked zealously behind the successful conduction of the career development programme.
