Report	Post Graduate Department of Commerce conducted the PTA meeting of MCom semester 1 students on 9th December 2022, in the conference hall @ 2.00 pm. Fr. Joshy Cheeramkuzhy CMI (Principal), Dr. Varghese Antony (Vice Principal and HOD of Commerce), Mr. Thomaskutty M O (Course Coordinator), Parents and MCom Students participated in the meeting. Fr. Joshy Cheeramkuzhy CMI (Principal) presided over the meeting. After the meeting parents meet teachers personally to have an evaluation about the marks and activities of their wards in the class. The progress report of the students were distributed on the same date.

M.Com 2023 ADM 

Post Graduate Department of Commerce, Kristu Jyoti College of Management and Technology, Changanacherry organized PTA Meeting for the MCom Semester II Students on 20^th March 2024 at 2.00 pm. 18 parents were participated in the session. Principal, Rev. Dr. Joshy Cheeramkuzhy CMI gave the presidential address and enlightened the students and the parents about their career focus and also on how make the students employable. After the presidential address given the Principal, all the parents meet teachers to have a talk about the progress made by the students in their studies.

B.COM FINANCE AND TAXATION

The Parent- Teachers meeting of First Year Finance & Taxation batch students was conducted on 12 January 2023 from 2 p.m. The official meeting began with a prayer song by the college choir. Dr. Varghese Antony, Vice Principal & HoD of Commerce Department welcomed the gathering. Rev. Fr. Joshy Cheeramkuzhy CMI addressed the parents regarding the overall development of the students. Prize distribution for department level competitions were done and students received appreciation for the same. The formal meeting came to an end with words of gratitude by Mr. Thomaskutty M.O, Course Co-ordinator. Parents were given instructions to meet the allotted teachers for individual communication

B.COM COMPUTER APPLICATION

Kristu Jyothi college of management and technology conducted the first parent teacher meeting for the freshman students of the undergraduate department of commerce. It was held on 12^th January at the college indoor stadium. The event lasted for two hours with opening and speeches of principal, vice principal and department head. The meeting was primarily arranged for the teachers to communicate to parents the performance of their children and other class related subjects. The event helped parents and teachers Foster a relationship with the ultimate goal to maximum exploit their students potential in academics and conduct. The teachers of both the batches from B.com Computer Application as well as Finance and Taxation were present on the venue discussing with parents. The parents had an opportunity to speak to the class tutor, subject teachers and principal. While the event concluded the parents were able to have an understanding of their Childs studies and conduct.

B.COM SECOND YEAR STUDENTS

B.COM SECOND YEAR STUDENTS (2024)

PG Department of Commerce in association with IQAC, conducted a Meeting for B.Com second year students on 23rd January 2024 to discuss about the academic status of the students . The meeting started with a prayer song by the College Coir at 2.00 pm, which was followed by the Welcome speech by Dr. Varghese Antony . HOD of PG Department of Commerce and Vice Principle of KCMT. After that Rev. Dr. Joshy Cheeramuzhy CMI, Principal of KCMT addressed the parents and students community. He reminded them about different aspects which may affect the future of the student community and also advised the students to concentrate in their studies. The official meeting was concluded with the Words of gratitude by Mr. Mithun Varghese, the student representative. After that the parents met the teacher and had detailed discussions about the performance of their wards. This session was extended up to 4.45 pm.The meeting was found useful for the students to improve their performance

PTA B.COM FIRST YEAR

The PTA meeting of first year B. Com batches were conducted on 26 March 2024 at 2 p.m. in the Chavara Indoor Stadium. Parents was summoned to attend the meeting to discuss about the further measures in improving the students’ interest in academic matters. The meeting began with a prayer song by department choir. Dr. Varghese Antony, Vice Principal & HoD of the Post Graduate Department of Commerce welcomed the gathering. Rev. Fr. Joshy Cheeramkuzhy CMI addressed the parents. The meeting came to an end with the words of gratitude by Mr. Thomaskutty M. O, course co-ordinator. There after parents met the teachers in person along with their ward. The meeting came to an end by 4.30 p.m.

Remedial PTA

The PTA meeting of first year B. Com batches were conducted on 26 March 2024 at 10.00 am. in the Conference Hall Parents of select students who need remedial coaching was summoned to attend the meeting to discuss about the further measures in improving the students’ interest in academic matters. The meeting began with a prayer song by department choir. Mr. Thomaskutty M. O, course co-ordinator.of the Post Graduate Department of Commerce welcomed the gathering. Rev. Fr. Joshy Cheeramkuzhy CMI addressed the parents. The meeting came to an end with the words of gratitude by Dr. Varghese Antony, Vice Principal & HoD. There after parents met the teachers in person along with their ward. The meeting came to an end by 12.00 pm.

PTA Meeting - B. Com Computer Application and B.Com Finance and Taxation(Final Years)

The Commerce Department of our college organized a Parents' Meeting for B. Com Computer Application and B.Com Finance and Taxation, Semester 05 on 24th October 2024 at 2 PM in the KJ Auditorium. The meeting was inaugurated by our Principal, Rev. Dr. Joshy George, who welcomed the parents and emphasized the importance of their engagement in their children’s academic journey.The primary objective of the meeting was to foster a stronger connection between parents and teachers, supporting a collaborative approach to student development. The meeting included an in-depth discussion on the future opportunities available for students in the field of Commerce. The faculty highlighted the versatility of a B. Com degree and the numerous career paths students could explore The session focused on student performance, classroom behaviour, and involvement in co-curricular activities.

A key highlight of the meeting was the one-on-one interactions between parents and faculty members. This gave parents an opportunity to receive in-depth feedback on their child’s academic progress, attendance, and conduct. These interactions also provided a platform to discuss specific areas for improvement and ways parents could support their children’s goals.

PTA GATHERING AND INTRODUCTION OF INTEGRATED COURSES

“PTA Gathering and Introduction of Integrated Courses” was organized for the second year and first year students of B.Com. on 07 February 2026 from 10.00 am to 12.30 pm. The event commenced at 10:00 AM with a prayer song by Ms. Archana S, followed by a welcome speech by Mr. Vivek V Vijayan. The principal’s address was delivered by Rev. Dr. Joshy George CMI, highlighting the importance of integrated courses and parent involvement in academic development. The programme included cultural performances such as solo song, duet song, and dance performances by students, along with proficiency distribution and a video presentation. The course introduction was led by Dr. Thomaskutty M O, followed by course orientation by representatives from different institutions.
