The PG Department of Social Work at Kristu Jyoti College of Management and Technology organized first Parent Teacher Association meeting on 30th October 2024, from 9.00 am to 2.00 pm at conference hall. Ms Riya Tomy, Assistant Professor department of social work delivered the welcome speech, warmly greeted attendees and outlined the significance of the event. The highlight of the event was the Presidential Address by Rev. Fr. Joshy Cheramkuzhy, CMI, father highlighted the importance conducting of PTA meeting to update parents on college policies, curriculum changes, upcoming events, and any other important college-related matters. Dr Joseph Sam, vice principal and Dr Surya Krishna, head of the department delivered the felicitation. The majority of the participants found that PTA meeting provide a platform for teachers and parents to discuss students' progress, challenges, and needs, ensuring both parties are informed and involved in the child's education and provide a forum for parents to raise concerns or questions regarding their children's education, college environment, or specific issues they may be facing

The Postgraduate Department of Social Work at Kristu Jyoti College of Management & Technology conducted the PTA meeting for BSW Semester I (Batch 2025–2029) on 16th and 17th October 2025 from 10:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Coordinated by Ms. Santhi Krishna S, the meeting saw the participation of 28 parents and faculty members including Ms. Treesa Delight, Ms. Tiby Maria Thomas, Ms. Luna Johny, Ms. Smitha Ragnan, Ms. Jilu Mary Luke, Ms. Anjana, Ms. Teffy Thomas, and Dr. Benno Joseph. Parents interacted individually with faculty to review students’ academic performance, attendance, behaviour, and readiness for the university examinations commencing on 5th November 2025. Faculty provided constructive guidance on study habits, time management, and academic discipline, while also discussing students’ career aspirations and future plans in social work. The meeting concluded in a cordial and collaborative atmosphere, strengthening the parent–teacher partnership and reflecting the department’s commitment to student-centred academic support.
