The department of computer science runs both UG and PG courses. The MCA course (approved by AICTE New Delhi) was started in 2002 and the BCA course was started in 2010. Both the courses are affiliated to MG University, Kottayam. 

The Post Graduate Department of Computer Application was established during the academic year 2002 (approved by AICTE New Delhi and affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam) with an intake of 60 students.

The MCA programme provides a sound foundation of theoretical concepts, in-depth working knowledge of technology and hands-on experience in computer hardware and software. It helps students explore emerging trends, improve creative skills and provide quality education in the field of computer science.

SELECTION CRITERIA

The 2-year master’s programme in Computer Applications is the flagship Post-Graduate Programme of the College. Admission into the programme is on the basis of the entrance examination,  conducted by the Government of Kerala.

The primary objective of this programme is to train top class IT professionals so as to cater for the growing needs of   various disciplines  of Information Technology.
