Cybernetix is an association of students of Kristu Jyoti College of Management and Technology in Changanassery that was formed with the concept of creating awareness among the people. Cybernetix was inaugurated by Kottayam district chief Sri. Jaidev G. IPS on November 30th, virtually followed by two webinars. Cybernetix is the result of events that haunt the lives of people. The students of MCA at Kristu Jyoti College of Management and Technology, highly disturbed by the occurrences of awful events in society, decided to take a huge step towards protecting against the brutal cyberattacks. That’s how Cybernetix was formed in association with the Kerala Cyber Cell District Police Chief and the Cyber Police Station in Kottayam.
This club aims at reducing the number of cyber-attacks in the society and hence protect the people before they are affected.

School Visit to SNDP School Anandashram
Cybernetix Club conducted a seminar on CyberSecurity Awareness at Anandashram UP School Changanassery. The field of cybersecurity is of paramount importance in today's digital age, as individuals and organizations face increasing threats to their digital assets and privacy. To address this crucial subject, Cybernetix, the Cyber Club of Kristu Jyoti College, organized a seminar on "Cyber Security" for the students of Anandashram School. The seminar aimed to educate and raise awareness among students about the various aspects of cybersecurity. potential threats, and best practices for safeguarding digital information. The event commenced with a silent prayer. Followed by that, the organizers welcomed the participants and introduced the agenda for the seminar. The student volunteers, Mr. Arjun A Acharry and Joela were resource persons of the session. They highlighted the significance of cybersecurity in the modern world and its implications for individuals and organizations. A comprehensive overview of various types of cyber threats such as malware, phishing, hacking, and data breaches were presented to help participants understand the nature of cyber risks. An interactive session allowed participants to ask questions and clarify doubts related to cybersecurity concepts and practices. The students also gave feedback about the session.
Seminar On “ Cyber Security”
Cybernetix Club conducted a seminar on Cyber Security Awareness at Kristu Jyothi College of Management And Technology . Cybernetix Volunteer Call
Cybernetix conducted volunteer call with workshop for extending the team to be more energetic and talented. The workshop is scheduled from 10 am to 4pm on 23th July 2023 in the seminar hall. The main purpose of this workshop is to get to know each other and to get an overall understanding of the skills and talent of the new team.
The session began with the remarks of the principal Rev.Dr Joshy Cheeramkuzhy CMI. He spoke about the cyber atrocities taking place in our society and highlighting the successive initiative and the need for cyber club. Our Vice Principal Dr. Varghese Antony gives the introduction for how the club came to be and appreciated the initiatives of the club members. Ms.
Soumya Koshy(Faculty Advisor) talked about how the thought came to be and the efforts that have been taken by every member to make the dream come true. After the interactive session, the students were split into five groups. They gave an overall idea about each team and what should be done when they were in the team. They gave task according to the team and interviewed the students personally.
On the afternoon session, they were divided into two groups and gave a task for evaluating their performance. They demonstrated how they conduct a particular event with the whole team. It promotes a sense of group responsibility and plays a major role in creating themselves to the club.
Workshop on Application Security
The Workshop on Application Security held on the 10th of November 2023 was a resounding success, providing valuable insights into the dynamic field of cybersecurity. The event was graced by the presence of Mr. Durga Prasad, Senior Specialist in Application Security at SISA Information Security, who served as the distinguished resource person for the workshop.
The proceedings commenced with a warm welcome speech by Ms. Reeja Susan Reji, setting an enthusiastic tone for the event. Following this, Mrs. Soumya Koshy, the Cybernetix Coordinator, provided an insightful introduction to the Cybernetix club at KJCMT, highlighting its role in fostering a culture of cybersecurity awareness among students.
Mr. Durga Prasad took the stage for the main session, delivering a comprehensive talk that covered essential aspects of application security. The topics included the basics of Cyber Forensic, SQL injection, Cross-Site Scripting (XSS), and an introduction to various tools and vulnerable sites for practical application. The session was marked by Mr. Prasad's depth of knowledge, engaging delivery, and practical demonstrations that resonated well with the audience.
As a token of appreciation for his valuable contribution, Mrs. Soumya Koshy presented Mr. Durga Prasad with a Certificate of Appreciation. This gesture acknowledged not only his expertise but also his dedication and effort in sharing his insights with the participants.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Christa Rose Mary John, expressing gratitude to all participants, the resource person, and the organizing team for making the workshop a success.
The Workshop on Application Security not only enriched the participants with valuable knowledge but also served as a platform for networking and collaboration in the field of cybersecurity.
Experience Sharing and Interative Session
Cybernetix Club in Association with Research and IPR Cell conducted a talk with Mr Madhu Kumar (Crime SI,Kerala Police) at Kristu Jyothi College of Management And Technology . As individuals and organizations face increasing threats to their digital assets and privacy to address this crucial subject, Cybernetix and Research and IPR Cell of Kristu Jyoti College, organized an interactive session on "Crime awareness" for the representatives of cybernetix club and Research and IPR cell of the College. The session aimed to educate and raise awareness among students about the various aspects of crimes. potential threats, and best practices for safeguarding information. The event commenced with a silent prayer. Followed by that, the organizers welcomed the participants and introduced the agenda for the session.Mr Madhu Kumar was the resource person of the session. They highlighted the significance of crimes in the world and its implications for individuals and organizations. A comprehensive overview of various types of threats were presented to help participants understand the nature of crimes. An interactive session allowed participants to ask questions and clarify doubts related to crime concepts. The students also gave feedback about the session.
Cyber Awareness Volunteer Selection Programme in association with Kerala Police
The cyber awareness program organized by Cybernetix at Kristu Jyoti College was a resounding success. The collaboration between the Kerala Police, represented by Mr. Bino Jose, and student volunteers created a dynamic platform for addressing cyber security issues. The program aimed at reducing cyber-related crime rates in India by educating the public, students, and stakeholders. Mr. Bino Jose's interactive session empowered students with the knowledge needed to register on the National Cyber Crime Portal, fostering a sense of responsibility among the participants. A total of six students from Cybernetix registered as cyber awareness volunteers, showcasing the effectiveness of the program in motivating active involvement. The successful turnout and engagement reflected positively on the impact of the initiative, contributing to the broader goal of enhancing cyber awareness in the community.
School Visit And Awareness Class On Cyber Addiction And Recovery
The session commenced with an introduction to the topic of cyber addiction, emphasizing its prevalence in today's digital age and its impact on mental health, academic performance, and social relationships. Volunteers delivered a comprehensive presentation covering various aspects of cyber addiction.The volunteers explained different forms of cyber addiction, such as social media addiction, online gaming addiction, and internet addiction disorder. Students were educated about the signs and symptoms of cyber addiction, such as excessive screen time, neglect of responsibilities, withdrawal symptoms when not online, and deterioration in physical health.
The presentation highlighted the detrimental effects of cyber addiction on mental well-being, including depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, and poor impulse control. Volunteers discussed how excessive internet use can negatively impact academic performance, interpersonal relationships, and overall social functioning. School Visit and Awareness class on topic “Cyber Addiction and Cyber Safety “ to Pioneer UP School, Ithithanam
A group of five volunteers of Cybernetix club of Kristu Jyoti College of Management and Technology visited Pioneer U P School, Thrikodithanam on 23rd February 2024 to take an awareness session on the topic “Cyber Addiction and Recovery Methods. An overview of the subject of cyber addiction was given at the beginning of the session, highlighting its prevalence in the current digital era and its affects on social interactions, mental health, and academic achievement. A comprehensive presentation about all aspects of cyber addiction was provided by speakers. Topics addressed included the internet, cyber addiction, social media addiction, game addiction, the effects of phone addiction, recovery techniques, and cyber safety. Additionally, effects of phone addiction, recovery methods and cyber safety, were discussed with the students. The speakers further spoke about the negative impacts that excessive internet use can have on social functioning in general, interpersonal relationships, and academic performance. In order to actively include the students, the volunteers planned interactive activities such as storytelling and games.
